Trek to Sarawak Chamber Cave in Mulu National Park
Trekking to Sarawak Chamber in Gunung Mulu National Park is no easy task. To get there you must embark on a six hour hike through the leech filled Borneo rain forest crossing many jungle rivers along the way. Finally you get to the huge wet cave opening where the adventure caving begins to attempt making it to the world's largest cave chamber.

Gunung Mulu National Park - Wind Cave & Clearwater Cave - Day 15 | HD |
To see the photos and read the article about Gunung Mulu National Park go to:
In the morning we got into our boat with small motor on the end. Then we went to gunung mulu village where we saw a lot of handcrafted things being done. Then we went by boat to wind cave where there were lots of cool stalagmites and stalactites. Sometimes we needed the headlamp because there wasn´t enough light. From wind cave in mulu national park we got back to our boat and went to clearwater cave which is really close to wind cave. The clearwater cave was so huge. And we have seen just a tiny fraction of the whole cave system. Then I went to swim under the clearwater cave. And... I lost my waterproof camera Nikon AW100. Locals tried to search for the camera but the pond near clearwater cave was just too deep. The next day some local diver luckily managed to find my camera. I was so happy that I can continue in filming our adventure in gunung Mulu national park!

Mulu National Park - World Heritage Site, Borneo Tourism
The Gunung Mulu National Park is a national park in Miri Division, Sarawak, Malaysia, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that encompasses caves and karst formations in a mountainous equatorial rainforest setting.
The pinnacle formations of Gunung Api and Benarat are spectacular examples of this limestone feature. Mulu’s Pinnacles tower above the surrounding landscape, some reaching heights of 40 to 50 metres. Centuries of water have eroded and dissolved the rock into razor sharp spikes which knife skywards through the surrounding rainforest.
Deer Cave is reached by following a three kilometer plankwalk which passes through peat swamp, alluvial flats and limestone outcrops. Not surprisingly, Deer Cave is home to many species of bats. Between 5 and 7pm, if the weather is fine, visitors may be treated to the spectacular sight of a black cloud of free-tailed bats emerging from the entrance of the cave to go in search of food. Others caves that are open for tourists includes clearwater cave, lang cave, wind cave and etc.
After seeing the show caves, visitors often want to see more of Mulu’s vast cave system. To cater for this demand and satisfy the curious, the National Park Department has identified a number of sites that are suitable for adventure caving trips, from the beginner to intermediate level such as Lagang Cave & Racer Cave up to the Advance level like Clearwater connection & Sarawak Chamber

3days 2nights trip to Mulu, Sarawak, Malaysia
1st day, we went to Garden of Eden (The waterfall). In order for us to get there, we had to take 4 hours walk through the Deer Cave, river and jungle (what an adventure!). Another 4 hours walk back to our home-stay, we stop by to the Lang Cave to see the beautiful formation of limestones and stayed near the cave for bat watching. Unfortunely, it was raining and the bats come out late. Total distance was 24km. We were exhausted!
2nd day, we went to the Penan Settlement by boat, we called 'sampan'. After that, continues our journey to visit the Wind and Clear Water Cave also to see the formation of limestones. My favourite cave was Clear Water Cave!
3rd day, It's time to go home :)
The Hee Family Visits the Mulu Caves
In Borneo, deep in Sarawak's Gunung Mulu National Park, lie the most spectacular caves on earth. Over millennia the flow of water draining from the slopes of G.Mulu towards the sea has cut deep gorges through the Park's limestone mountains and, within the rock itself, a complex network of vast caves has been formed. Hope you enjoy the Mandarin song that is a prayer to God to open our eyes so that we can know God. It is sung by a local Malaysian pastor.
