Cleland Edit-Showing You Around My Local Trails & Unexpected KOM On My Pole Evolink 158
More wet weather so I thought I would put together a little edit of my local trails. Very fortunate to basically have Cleland Conservation Park on my back doorstep. To give you an idea - this ride was an hour door-to-door.
This is where mountain biking all started for me, and had me hooked in an instant, even on my old $200 clunker.
Also scored an unexpected KOM down the Strava segment B52 which is down Gurra and Lodge tracks and has an awesome steep 2m rock step/drop.
Croser presents: Piccadilly Valley
It wasn’t so long ago that the Adelaide Hills were an almost untested vineyard region. Its similarities to climate and fruit character to the Champagne region, however, made it an ideal place to create an Australian sparkling to rival the best in the world.

The Tiers - Quintessential Hills Living Minutes To The City
Zip up the freeway and in less than ten minutes you can be living the hills dream! Delightfully elevated on a 2686m² corner block and nestled in a garden paradise, this light, airy and supremely spacious seventies home offers the best of both worlds to the would-be hills dweller who still wants to be within cooee of the Adelaide CBD.
The quiet seclusion, the wildlife and the birds - yes, there are even kangaroos hopping around - express a rural idyll that belies its proximity to the freeway, (about two minutes), and then it's just a cruisy eight-minute drive to the tollgate from there. And did we mention the spectacular country vistas, looking towards Bridgewater and Mylor, to the Willunga Hills in the South?
Those looking to work from home, house their Brady bunch or spread the love in a number of other ways including hosting long-stay guests or airbnb, will all find the perfect fit here with two spacious levels of independent living, a fully-equipped office and a freestanding 30m x 20m shed adjoining a huge level yard. Further attractions of this corner site include a circular main driveway, visitor parking bays and rear access to a double carport.
An entertainer's delight with gorgeous formal and family spaces that spill outside to summer cocktails on the balcony and long leisurely lunches on the eye-level terrace at the rear, complete with its own stylish barbecue shelter and a little bridge linking it with a modern open-plan kitchen offering European appliances and a walk-in pantry for all your home-made preserves.
With slow combustion stoves on both levels, warming Tasmanian Oak flooring in high-traffic areas, gorgeous new carpets in the bedrooms and spa bath luxury in one of a trio of refurbished bathrooms, winter is no longer a season to be feared!
Whatever the time of year, the gardens are a constant joy - a playground for the whole family with plenty of interest for green thumbs, shady spots for picnics, a vegetable patch and sweeping lawns that even a teenager could mow! And best of all, no water bills!
A short walk to Cleland Wildlife Park, Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens and the vibrant townships of Crafers and Stirling, this is quintessential hills living with the convenience of Adelaide and top schools just minutes away.
Bonus features:
31,000 gallons of rainwater storage
Garden watering & fire systems
30m x 20m shed with wood store
Auto side-by-side carport
Split system r/c air conditioning
2 wood-burning stoves
Brand new carpets (bedrooms)
