Opened in 1937, the designers of Oakes Garden Theatre capitalized on the contours of the landscape to create a curved pergola overlooking a central amphitheatre. The shaded lily ponds and formalized gardens offer visitors a tranquil escape in the heart of Niagara Falls. Bordered by ornamental iron gates and Queenston limestone, Oakes Garden Theatre provides a spectacular entranceway to Queen Victoria Park at the foot of Clifton Hill.

Video Thumbnail:Looking to your south from Garrison Road intersection on Daytona Drive on the northeast corner intersecting with Orchard Avenue in Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada where my late Uncle Bill (1916-1991) and Aunt Susan (1915-1993) Sandal's former home is located. It was built through the Summer 1953 by my Dad and Uncles helping along with Uncle Bill. It was fully occupied and lived in by 1954. They moved from the house in the Summer 1973. They moved a little further north to a mobile home park in Stevensville right off of the QEW Niagara Falls-Toronto bound. They lived there only for almost 5 years until 1978 then moved again for a month to Frenchmen's Creek Trailer Park off of the Niagara River Parkway then finally to Sandy Acres Mobile Home/Trailer Park in Lowbanks, Ontario, Canada near Dunnville, Ontario, Canada.

Poyntz Plaza: Manhattan, Kansas
Poyntz Plaza, located in Manhattan, Kansas, serves as an important terminus on a historic downtown street. The plaza acts as the entrance to the Manhattan Town Center Mall, which was constructed in the 1980s as part of an economic development project. The space now anchors the Poyntz Avenue commercial corridor. Native perennial plant beds, wood seating, light columns, and arching fountains all align to a radial grid which emanates from the doorway, directing energy and movement inward toward the mall and out towards the vibrant commercial corridor. This design proposal replaces an aging plaza with more a more dynamic contemporary design and upgraded amenities, giving Manhattanites a flexible urban space they can feel proud of.
