If you're wondering what to see in 1 Day, join us for this virtual tour of Clifton in Bristol, as we make our way to the famous Clifton Suspension Bridge - the symbol of the city.
We start in Victoria Square and walk through to Boyce's Avenue - site of the Clifton Arcade as well as many charming cafes, coffee shops and independent retailers such as the Primrose Cafe, Saffron, Reg the Veg and Papersmiths.
We cross the road and follow Princess Victoria Street - taking time to explore it's wealth of independent shops, restaurants and cafes, detouring along the way to discover Waterloo Street and The Mall.
Back on Princess Victoria Street, we follow it down to the White Lion on Sion Hill, where we turn right to catch our first view of the iconic Victorian Clifton Suspension Bridge.
We pass the Old Clifton Rocks Railway on our way uphill towards the toll booth at the start of the bridge. Walking onto the bridge gives us a stunning view of the Avon Gorge below on this sunny but windy day.
We continue for an even better view and wind our way up to the Clifton Observatory above St Vincent's Rocks. This site, (which houses a cave once used as a temple in ancient times - known also as Ghyston's cave or Giant's Cave) provides a stunning view of the entire span of the bridge as it straddles the Avon Gorge.

Photo Walk - Clifton Suspension Bridge & Giant's Cave
A photo walk in Bristol, UK around the main photography spots of the Clifton Suspension Bridge and a look inside the Giant's Cave and the tunnel down into the cave.
This is the first time we've done this and we treated this more as an introduction to the area of the city where we live here in Bristol.
If you're from this area, these will be familiar sites to you. For those of you from further afield, I hope you like this view of where we live.
Hopefully we managed to make something that is at least watchable to some, and even enjoyable to a few. We did have a lot of fun making this and hope to bring you more photography related videos, including reviews and opinions, how to's and tutorials, in the future. We may even throw in some more photo walks around our lovely city, and some other places in the UK, too.

EXPLORING BRISTOL :: UK :: CLIFTON SUSPENSION BRIDGE
Bristol is a really fun town to explore because there's something different around every corner. There's historic buildings, scenic nature, bars, microbreweries, farmers markets, museums, and of course the busy city center that reminded me a lot of Chicago. There is something for everyone but you definitely can't see it all in one day - here's just a few clips sights to see on foot :)
P.S. If you're traveling and don't have wifi for GPS, definitely get a map! We got ours from the museum.

Top best places to visit in Bristol, England
Bristol, the largest city in South West England, is one of the most interesting cities in the UK.
This city has an eclectic combination of architectural styles and is one of the most culturally vibrant towns in England. By locals Bristol is called Brizzle or Bristle.
A good place to start exploring the city is the Castle Park with the ruins of St Peter’s Church and the ruins of Bristol Castle.
This used to be a network of busy streets and shops until it was bombed during the second world war.
In the Old Town there are plenty of interesting buildings from most of the architectural periods of the UK.
In this neighborhood there also is the Queen Square, a garden with the Statue of William III.
A short walk from there is the St Mary Radcliffe Church.
Which has been a place of Christian worship for over 900 years.
But the most prominent church is the Bristol Cathedral.
Founded in the Norman era it is the seat of the diocese of Bristol.
Besides the cathedral on College Green are also the Central Library and the City Hall, the seat of local government.
Not far away from there is the Georgian House, a well-preserved example of a typical 18th century town house.
The next place to go is the city’s major museum, the Bristol Museum and Art Gallery,
And a landmark of the University of Bristol, the Wills Memorial Building.
Further along the same street are the Royal West of England Academy of Art and the Victoria Rooms.
Possibly the city’s most famous landmark, spanning the spectacular Avon Gorge and the River Avon at a height of 75m, is the Clifton Suspension Bridge.
On top of the Clifton Hill, right at the bridge, is a nice park and the Observatory with camera obscura and an entrance to the cave.
In Clifton district is one of the most expensive streets in the city.
Royal York Crescent, which was reputed to be the longest terrace in Europe.
The best place to see the city from high up is Cabot Tower on Brandon Hill.
From there, there is a nice view of the Old Town,
And Harbor.

Bristol is a city straddling the River Avon in the southwest of England with a prosperous maritime history. Its former city-centre port is now a cultural hub, the Harbourside, where the M Shed museum explores local social and industrial heritage. The harbour's 19th-century warehouses now contain restaurants, shops and cultural institutions such as contemporary art gallery The Arnolfini.
Bristol was a starting place for early voyages of exploration to the New World. On a ship out of Bristol in 1497 John Cabot, a Venetian, became the first European since the Vikings to land on mainland North America. In 1499 William Weston, a Bristol merchant, was the first Englishman to lead an exploration to North America. At the height of the Bristol slave trade, from 1700 to 1807, more than 2,000 slave ships carried an estimated 500,000 people from Africa to slavery in the Americas. The Port of Bristol has since moved from Bristol Harbour in the city centre to the Severn Estuary at Avonmouth and Royal Portbury Dock.
Bristol's modern economy is built on the creative media, electronics and aerospace industries, and the city-centre docks have been redeveloped as centres of heritage and culture. The city has the largest circulating community currency in the U.K.- the Bristol pound, which is pegged to the Pound sterling. West also built a tunnel from the Observatory to St Vincent's Cave (also known as Ghyston's Cave or Giant's Cave), which opens onto St Vincent's Rocks on the cliff face, 250 feet (76 m) above the floor of the Avon gorge and 90 feet (27 m) below the cliff top.[8] The tunnel which is 200 feet (61 m) long, took two years to build at a cost of £1300, and first opened to the public in 1837.[6]
This cave was first mentioned as being a chapel in the year A.D. 305 and excavations, in which Romano-British pottery has been found, have revealed that it has been both a holy place and a place of refuge at various times in its history. Although the cave is in limestone, there are few formations in the natural passages.
