On this episode of Traveling with Krushworth
My first stop is Galway, County Galway
Before adventuring into the countryside.
Travel with me and walk the streets of this Irish-speaking city.
Immerse yourself in the music and culture
On a stroll through the Latin Quarter. Don’t miss the historic King’s Head Pub.
Sit for a while in Eyre Square, walk through the Spanish Arch
A part of the medieval system of walls, or cast a line into the River Corrib,
I’m in the medieval city of Galway
And as you can see, I’m walking down the heart of the centre itself.
There’s pubs, there’s buskers, there’s music everywhere.
There’s someone just setting up here.
It is an amazing place, but as I’m walking around
And showing you some of the things to see,
I hope you have a great time Traveling with Krushworth
Alright, thanks again and see you soon.
A city of faith both new and old, Galway has an ages-old medieval past.
The church of St. Nicholas, a saint revered by mariners
Was visited by Christopher Columbus in 1477.
Reflect upon the past, but the city truly lights up
When a favourite rugby team wins big.
So if you couldn’t tell, it’s Sunday and I found the weekend market.
Which takes place throughout in the summer time.
There’s food, there’s art vendors
It is quite the sight and it stretches on for quite a long ways.
Alright I’ll continue on. See you later.
Spend time at Salthill's oceanside promenades and then bid farewell to Galway.
Venture into the alien Burren region, a landscape inhabited
By early people for thousands of years.
The Burren in County Clare is an alien-like landscape
Known for its ancient inhabitants who scratched out their existence upon the rocks.
The Neolithic portal tomb at Poulnabrone stitches together a tapestry
Of Ireland’s first farmers, a society with archaic, but telling death rituals.
Upon your visit to medieval Kilfenora, it’s easy to see why
Travelers are enthralled with the religious high crosses.
Gaze at the Doorty Cross and marvel at the 12th century cathedral ruins.
Alright, well it was a long trip by bus
because of course, I can’t apparate like Dumbledore and Harry Potter did.
But if you guys are fans of Half Blood Prince, this was
One of the locations in the film for Voldemort’s Horcrux,
You know, the scene in the cave
But I’ll show you more as I’m walking around
See you later.
Inishmore, the largest of the Aran Islands
Continues to offer visitors a quintessential Irish experience
As soon as the ferry lands at the pier.
Before the adventure begins, travelers should
Explore quaint, picturesque Kilronan town.
For those who want to further connect with this ages-old landscape,
Rent a bicycle from the shop near the ferry dock before
Setting out for the island’s treasured hill fort, Dun Anghosa.
Populated since 3,000 BCE, the Aran Islands are a world of Stone Age forts
Wedge tombs, early Christian religious sites
And a land of storied tradition and immense heritage.
Climb the rocky hill to Dun Aonghosa, a stone fort originally built in 1,100 BCE.
Walk through the gates, and carefully stand, or crawl
To what the ancients saw as the world’s edge.
Perched precariously on this bleak outcropping overlooking the Atlantic Ocean
This must-see hill fort is a reminder of a turbulent past,
But also of a people who built an engineering marvel.

CLIMBING DIAMOND HILL, GALWAY | SOLO IRELAND ROAD TRIP - PART 2
In this vlog, I say bye to my family and do my FIRST EVER solo road trip! I drove to Baywatch B&B in Tullycross near Connemara National Park, climbed Diamond Hill, visited Kylemore Abbey, drove about and explored a bit and came to terms with eating alone in a restaurant! Also, I'm aware the music doesn't really match the video, but it's all I listened to during the drive and I LOVE the song hahah!

Owenglin Circuit Twelve Bens Galway
This tough 23 km circuit in the 12 Bens of Connemara in County Galway offers some of the best hillwalking in Ireland. Steep quartzite peaks tower over valleys of vivid green and pink bog-land inset with serpentine rivers and deep blue lakes. Beyond, the ragged coastline with ribbons of yellow sand is washed by the restless Atlantic Ocean. This 12 summit circuit will take in the region of 12 hours to complete and involves a climb of over 2,000m ascent. It is not for the faint hearted and will require high levels of fitness and navigational proficiency, especially in poor weather conditions. It is best tackled in the long hours of daylight during the summer months. This one's for you, Captain V!

This is a must do if you visit Connemara – it is just off the Wild Atlantic Way, but it is worth a de-tour – it starts here - and ends here – this was filmed on the 29th August 2016 at around 17:00.

Irish Adventures | Galway Travel Vlog #1 | Eimear McElheron
Hi Everyone! I'm back again today with another travel vlog and this time I'm venturing around Galway City. As I mentioned in the video the weather here in Ireland is very unpredictable so unfortunately the trip was cut short. The first day that we arrived the sun was splitting the stones, it was a cool, crisp day but a gorgeous sunny day nonetheless. The following day however we had rain, wind, rain and more rain so a hike in the countryside was off the cards. I will be revisiting Galway to catch up where I left off and that's why I'm splitting Galway into two parts. Today you get the city and sometime next year I'll give you a look at the countryside :)
To Recap!
• We stayed in the Nox Hotel in Galway which is about a 5 minute drive from Eyre Square so very handy. I'd highly recommend the hotel it was very affordable and so convenient. Originally I booked through a website called booking.com but it was actually cheaper to book with the hotel directly so just something to note :)
• We took a trip to Salthill to have a stroll by the seaside, despite it being December it wasn't cold and I can only imagine how lovely it is to walk the area in the Summer time. Soon after we headed to have a look at the famous Galway Cathedral. Unfortunately filming inside was prohibited but it's worth seeing it with your own eyeballs if you're ever in Galway!
• The Christmas Markets are located on Eyre Square, you can't miss them. I was chatting to a lady on one of the stalls and she said this was their 5th year, I can't believe I've never been before. Personally I just loved all of the lights and the atmosphere and a trip on the ferris wheel was really the icing on the cake! We had a ball :)
• Food wise we had a bite to eat in the Dough Bro's and it was absolutely delish. It was actually my first time having a pizza out before and now I have very high standards haha! The Dough Bro's is located on Upper Abbeygate Street.
• The following day we headed back into the city and walked around quay street, down Kirwans lane, we had intended on visiting the Spanish Arch but the weather wasn't on our side :(
I hope you enjoyed the vlog despite it being on the short side and i'll catch you all in a makeup tutorial really soon! Have a fantastic Christmas :) Lots of love, Eimear xx

Hiking the Western Way Galway Ireland
We hiked the Western Way in County Galway Ireland in May 2015. It was a great hike taking 2 days and 1 night. We camped along the way and awoke to a very miserable wet windy day but we carried on. After the church Mat and Damien went on to try and walk across the Maumturks to Leenaun but the weather was to bad and we had to go back to the road and walk the rest of the way by the designated route.(watch the difference in the river from when we camp to the next morning, that's how much it rained over night). This was all recorded on a Go Pro 1.

Connemara Mountain Hiking Park Ireland Guide Galway *fun*
Connemara video diary of hiking up a mountain in Connemara National Park, Galway, Ireland in 2011. The diary covers the yellow, blue and red routes during a rainy day. We nearly got our asses stuck up that flipping mountain and then it started to rain ;-/ however it was a great day and highly recommended in Connemara.
Ireland Day Trip: Cliffs of Moher and Galway
I’m in Dublin for a long weekend and took a day trip tour out to the Cliffs of Moher (where they filmed the Cliffs of Insanity in The Princess Bride and the Horcrux Cave in Harry Potter). Afterwards we did a quick stop at the Burren in Clare County before stopping for dinner in Galway, where I ate at Gemelle’s—get the local Galway oysters, they’re fantastic crazy good!
