The Local Sights of Tirana, Albania
Hotel Seven was right in the heart of Tirana. Just a hop-skip-jump from Skanderbeg Square named after Albania's National Hero. On one corner is the National Historic Museum.On another, the Tirana Clock Tower closed on Saturday. (There are supposed to be great views from the top when the Clock Tower is open.)
Next to the Tirana Clock Tower is the small but exquisite Mosque of Et'hem Bey dating from the 18th century. I wasn't properly dressed and couldn't enter. No worries. There were gorgeous, painted carvings outside the perimeter of the mosque. Quite beautiful.
On a pilgrimage for liter bottles of water, the nicest Albanians in the entire world directed us (using gestures since very few spoke English) to a small eatery where the owners insisted on selling us six large rounds of bread for $.60 U.S. besides the water. What great people!

Tirana VR - THE CLOCKTOWER 360° VR VIDEO
Located in the very heart of Tirana, the Clock tower is one of the most popular symbols of the capital. Its construction began in 1822 and initiallyit was about 30 m tall. Until 1928, it was a bell tower equipped with only a turret clock and a bell which was rung every hour. In 1928, it was reconstructed and the bell mechanism was replaced by the clock faces and the tower, now 35 m high, took the look that it still hastoday.
Architecturally, the clock tower embodies the history of Albania, where the lower half is made of stones and belongs to the Ottoman style, while the dome and its balcony belong to the Western style. Although since 1970 it is no longer the tallest building in Tirana, the Clock Tower continues to offer a breath-taking view to every visitor that climbs its 90 stairs.

The capital of Albania is located in the center of the country. It has been an 8 hours bus ride from Skopje in Macedonia to get here.
