I had a lots of fun during the coast to coast walk with aupair Link. We had beautiful weather and I met really nice girls. Newzealand is amazing and I'm so happy to be here in this beautiful country in an amazing family :)

Joy's flight to Auckland was relaxing, the food was outstanding and she loved the extra legroom and 2 inches extra room on the side. Joy finds New Zealand clean, clear and beautiful, the food fresh and natural and the people wonderful. Her favourite thing to do is the DOC walks and today she discovered a new walk in Auckland that took her from the Pacific Coast to the Tasman Sea - all in one day.

A section of the Te Ararao Trail starting in central Auckland and finishing in the southern suburb of Onehunga. Te Araroa runs some 3000 km from the very northto the very south of New Zealand. To make this film, data was captured by GPS and turned into a GoogleEarth flyover; it was then overlaid with timestamps, headings and walking speeds dervied from the GPS data.

Hiking New Zealand - Day trip from Auckland to Wairere Falls
My hiking friends and I went to explore one of the tallest waterfalls of the North Island, New Zealand, Wairere Falls. The waterfall is located roughly 2hrs drive from central Auckland. It’s an easy to moderate walk from bottom to the top of the waterfall. You will be treated with spectacular series of waterfalls along the way making the 3hrs return track gone by like a breeze. If you finish the walk early, you can stop by the Kaimai Cheese Company for a delicious lunch. You might not be able to resist taking home some of the cheese made locally.

Our epic journey today begins in the terminal building at Auckland International Airport. We make our way to the gate where our Boeing 777-200LR is waiting to carry us on the world's longest flight. We board the aircraft and take our seat in seat 19A. Once the aircraft is fully boarded we push back and taxi to runway 05 at Auckland, before making a long, heavy takeoff towards the east. We climb over Auckland before crossing the Tasman Sea, reaching the Australian coast overhead Sydney. We are treated to some magnificent views of the entire of Australia as we cross from coast to coast. From Sydney we head towards Broken Hill, Coober Pedy and across the beautiful red desert of Central Australia, passing to the south of Alice Springs. From there we cross Western Australia, before reaching the northwest coast near to Port Hedland. From here we chase a beautiful sunset across the Indian Ocean, crossing Sri Lanka and the southern tip of India in darkness, before a hop across the Arabian Sea to Oman. We then make a dogleg approach towards Qatar to avoid UAE airspace, getting a good view of the lights of Dubai from off the coast. We make a smooth approach and landing into Doha, landing ahead of schedule at 23:38 after a flight time of 17 hours, 6 minutes.

Auckland Central Interceptor
The 4.5m diameter Central Interceptor in Auckland, New Zealand, is designed to reduce combined sewer overflows to local waterways. With construction set to start in 2019, the NZ$1.2 billion project will be constructed at depths of up to 110m with the 13km tunnel running between Western Springs and the Mangere Wastewater Treatment Plant and under the Manukau Harbour seabed.

They went from Auckland to the Bay of Islands and visited Cape Reinga, drove along 90 mile beach and had the ultimate experience whereby they came across some whales while on a speed boat tour. Seeing the whales in their natural habitat was amazing.

Bike ride along Auckland coast to Mission Bay beach | GoPro Hero
Scenic afternoon bike ride from Britomart to St Heliers in Auckland. It took about 40 minutes each way. The ride is flat and it is mostly on a shared path, so be careful with pedestrians and car doors opening. Very easy and family friendly route. Enjoy!
