TRAINS CN Westbound at Beaurepaire at Dusk
August 1 2019 Please Like and Subscribe! A CN freight passes Beaurepere westbound through the West Island suburbs. I often stop here on bike trips to see if a train might be coming, and also because it is the next stage from bike path to road/trail when going to Ste Annes for me. It's the logical 5 minute rest spot. Here I was lucky enough to see an unexpected train come past at around 7 45 PM, I was not really waiting here for trains, but rather focused on getting home before dark This train is mostly gons and tankers, with a few hoppers mixed in. Beaurepaire is pretty busy with trains in late afternoon around 4 PM, and again around 6 30 to 7 PM. Same can be said for that other crossing I like in Ille Perrot.

Mecatina Salmon Fishing 2009
To get to the Mecatina you have two choices. By air or by car.
This year we travelled from nord of Montreal by car along the beautiful west coast
of Newfoundland (Viking trail, Gros Morne National Park, Anse aux Meadows)
to St-Barebe, crosses from there back to Quebec (Blanc Sablon)
and took from there the Nordik Express down to La Tabatiere, from where us
Eldon Bobbitt from the Mecatina camp finally picked up.
