Cobh Vacation Travel Guide | Expedia
Welcome to Cobh, Ireland.
This seaside town is virtually unchanged from its appearance during the Edwardian era in the early 1900s, though it is now a popular destination for vacationers. Cobh boasts the lone cruise ship terminal in Ireland, and visiting vessels can land their passengers in the center of town.
Perhaps not unexpectedly, Cobh tourism is largely influenced by the tragic stories of the Titanic and the Lusitania. Cobh—then known as Queenstown—was the last stop before the Titanic vanished into history, and when the Lusitania was torpedoed in 1915, survivors and the dead were brought to Cobh. Embark on The Titanic Trail to learn about the impact the Titanic’s loss had on Cobh, or pay your respects at the Lusitania Memorial, located in Casement Square, right in the center of town.
After you’ve walked in the wake of the historic liners, go for a walk around Cobh. Sightseeing will show you brightly painted houses and boats contrasting with the deep blue water. If the boats look appealing, why not hire one for a tour of the harbor? Alternatively, stay dry and travel around Cobh on the Cobh Road Train. Stop in at one of the many pubs or cafes scattered throughout the city and enjoy a cup of coffee or a pint of beer; the friendly locals will be happy to tell you what you should see next.

Cobh (/ˈkoʊv/ kohv, Irish: an Cóbh), known from 1850 until the late 1920s as Queenstown, is a tourist seaport town on the south coast of County Cork, Ireland. Cobh is on the south side of Great Island in Cork Harbour and is home to Ireland's only dedicated cruise terminal. Tourism in the area draws on the maritime and emigration legacy of the town - including its association with the RMS Titanic.

Titanic's Last Stop, Queenstown, Cobh, Cork
Queenstown, now Cobh, a stunning seaport town in Cork on the south coast of Ireland, was also the Titantic's final stop on its last and tragic voyage across the Atlantic. A total of 123 of Titanic's passengers boarded at Queenstown - only 44 survived the sinking of the Titanic. The last local Titanic survivor was from Cork (Ellen Shine) - she passed away at the age of 98 in 1993.
Dedicated to the memory of Captain Colm Morrissy (Master Mariner) whose seafaring journey ended - as Cork Harbour Pilot - in his beloved Cobh on September 3rd 2014.

COBH, IRELAND | A MUST SEE TOWN IN IRELAND
When visiting Ireland, it is worth it to drop a visit in this lovely town of Cobh (prenounced as Cove).
Trip to Cobh in County Cork!
Had a brilliant week with scouts and I'm uploading all the vlogs that I made:)
Cobh is a beautiful atmospheric place, with definite roots to the R.M.S Titanic.
We went on a train to Cobh, got the boat to the navy base, enjoyed a few Titanic exhibitions and we then saw the scenery of Cobh!
