Ontario nurse accused of killing seniors faces 6 new charges

New charges are being laid against Elizabeth Wettlaufer, the former nurse accused of killing eight seniors in long-term care homes in Ontario, police said Friday.

Sgt. N Nelson 4785 approached me at about 6:20pm.
He then proceeded to assault me and interfere with my lawful use and enjoyment of property. M. Martindale 4861 also put his hand on my camera. After repeatedly asking for ID they threatened to charge me with loitering which Article 19 prohibits. I will be filing charges of mischief on both officers and assault on the Sargeant because his assault was significantly worse than M. Martindale was
I will also be FOIPING unit 1625 for the dash camera footage and filing a lawsuit for interfering with my Charter rights. Nelson and Martindale, you need to learn your laws and respect human rights!
I called them to write a charge and officer 3617 told me to go through professional standards and they refused to lay a charge on scene and after calling the main number.

Serial Instinct – Through an OPP Investigative Lens

Never has the fascination with serial killers been greater. It's feeding the popularity of true crime docudramas and podcasts, evidenced by the particularly popular and growing genre on Netflix. Bingers are hunkering down with series such as The Ted Bundy Tapes, Mindhunters and Making a Murderer to mention just a few. 'How to' articles are being written to divulge the secrets to navigating deeper through Netflix using Netflix 'codes' to find serial killer dramas.

The depiction of monster serial killers on screen and in the media is easy to find, but what about the stories behind the investigations?

The OPP delves into serial homicides through an OPP investigative lens with a multi-part video series called Serial Instinct. This series includes interviews with the OPP detectives, forensic analysts and officers involved in some of the most recent well-known serial cases by murderers such as Elizabeth Wettlaufer, Dellen Millard and Basil Borutski.

In the first of this three-part series, the OPP looks at how siphoning through 31 terabytes of digital evidence of cell phones, browser history and social media posts linked three murders to Dellen Millard - a smart, privileged young man who apparently had everything.

Imprisoned brother of opp leader draws life behind bars

(3 Aug 2016) Oleg Navalny, the imprisoned brother of prominent Russian opposition figure and anti-corruption campaigner Alexei Navalny, has been using his time in jail to create artwork depicting life in prison.
And now it is being shared with the wider public.
Pavel Akimov came up with the idea to publish Navalny's art as stickers on a popular messenger app called 'Telegram' which is one of the most secure messenging systems, after contacting Oleg for permission.
Telegram's stickers can be used as an alternative to more well-known emojis.
Some of the Navalny's images are very dark, illustrating the physiological weight of life in prison, as well as bleak images of suicide and guard brutality.
Others are light-hearted, ironic and cynically black-humoured.
Oleg Navalny was convicted in December of defrauding a French cosmetics company and handed a 3 and a half year-sentence.
Alexei Navalny, the key driving force behind the 2011-2012 mass protests in Moscow, received a suspended sentence in the same case.
Both brothers rejected the charges as being part of a political vendetta by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Oleg's lawyer Kirill Polozov told AP that prior to his incarceration Oleg had no interest in politics or his brother's activities.

We've all seen them.. We watch police videos of the 'bad ones' being rude and acting like they own you.. it's nothing new.
Not sure why we are all seeing a massive increase of police recklessness, but i'm quite thankful for the available technology to be able to record cops videos of them behaving improperly.

At some point, someone has to claim responsibility for their actions for their actions and the videos show a need for change.
Always take cop videos while interacting with them.. You never really know what's about to go down. You're probably still confused as to what you did to be targeted.
Remember to always be filming cops, and making cops videos always, and don't let them take your camera or phones. It's just not cool.
So many power tripping ones out there too.. so be ready with your COP CAM !
