This is the video of New year in Beijing, China.I love China as much as Canada and all countries in this World.
New Year Festival in China for me is eating and receiving money.
This is PIG year, so I'm wishing everyone will be rich and happy ,and remember to eat like a pig, but keep fit and strong :)
My colleagues used to ask me some questions, here is some answers from my personal understanding:
Everywhere is red in New year doesn't mean Chinese people only likes red. It's for holidays.
Mandarin is standard official languages. only very few of people speak Cantonese in China. More than 200 individual dialects in different city across China. they are totally prononce differently and not even sounds like mandarin or cantonese, I can't understand even understand one words in some local dialects.
Not all people like to eat century egg , spicy pork brain or raw crab.
Not all people like dumplings.I do eat but I don't pretty much like the skin(the flour dough, man, I don't like pork in dumpling. I like seafood :0 )
In this video, I 'm showing very old traditional kind of street food and ancient architectures. doesn't mean people eat these everyday, it is only for celebrating for certain days. If you want to see more modern areas and high-end restaurants, there are tons of them in the city.

✍ The Beijing Zoo (Panda Zoo) is a zoological park in Beijing, the capital of the China, in Xicheng District. Founded in 1906 during the late Qing dynasty, it is one of the oldest zoos in China. The zoo is also a center of zoological research that studies and breeds rare animals from various continents.

I had the opportunity to travel to Beijing, China and visit one of my best friends, Natalie, who hosted me and another friend. Big thanks to her cause if it was not for her I couldn't have gotten around myself or spoken Chinese- you bad ass!
We stayed in the Feng Tai District which was very cheap! So if you're looking for a bang for your buck definitely check out hotels there.
Wangfujing Street in Beijing is one of the most famous shopping streets of Beijing, China, located in Dongcheng District. It has lots of yummy street food and lots of Chinese culture, must try.
The Summer Palace, is a vast ensemble of lakes, gardens and palaces in Beijing, China. It serves as a popular tourist destination and recreational park. Very pretty views and ancient Chinese culture.
If you want to enjoy a great night life in Beijing, Houhai Bar Street is an ideal place not to miss. Close to Shichahai Lake and Beijing hutongs, Houhai Bar Street combines Chinese and western culture. A lot of people from the whole world head to Houhai Bar Street to have fun in the bars.
