The Cody Caves are a network of limestone caves in the Selkirk Mountains in British Columbia, Canada. They are located 2 miles north of Ainsworth Hot Springs on the west side of Kootenay Lake.Discovered in the early 1890s, the caves became protected in July 1966 with the formation of the Cody Caves Provincial Park.Cody Caves is one of the best-known cave systems in British Columbia, and Cody Caves Provincial Park was the first subterranean park created in the province.

Hot springs cave! You've got to see this place!

The coolest hot springs cave that I've visited (yet) has got to be here. Ainsworth hot springs in British Columbia is a natural mineral bath that flows out of the rock inside the caves in the form of various waterfalls and fissures, then flows into a series of pools outside of the caves. Add these hot springs to your list of places to visit, and while your there, grab a burger at the restaurant upstairs.

Where we stayed in Kaslo. Kaslo, B.C. is a great place - near by are the Cody Caves and Ainsworth Hot Springs where I stopped at on the way home.

Nelson 2015

Made an edit of our trip to Nelson from a couple weeks back. Its a very small edit considering all the footage I have but it includes Pulpit Rock, Ainsworth Hotsprings, Cody Caves and Flying Mt Dundee in Ymir.

Backpacking Kokanee Glacier Provincial Park

Clay and I head into Kokanee Glacier Provincial Park in British Columbia's Kootenays for a night with Mystery Guest #1. We camped at Kaslo Lake. After setting up camp we head up the Glacier Toe Trail for a disappointing view of a sliver of glacier. We might have explored more, but the sun was getting low and our stomachs were rumbling.

The next day we head to Saphire Lakes, and then up Mt Geigerich
and Nansen Mountain.

Then it was a hike out.

Then we head to Kaslo to meet up with Mystery Guest #2. You can check out his channel at
(yes, it looks sparse right now, but he will go back to creating soon)

On day three we head into Cody caves, 20 minutes out of Kaslo and just a little ways above Ainsworth Hotsprings for a day of spelunking.
