coffs harbour 4wd
For a Fun easy beach run in your 4wd from Coffs Harbour's Boambee Beach ( where camel rides are) up beach to Boambee Creek where you can enjoy a nice swim. The beach has very easy access, don't even need to deflate if tide is out & there are some great breaks if you enjoy a surf. The fishing is also excellent along the beach so bring a rod.Boambee Beach doesn't require any 4wd permits either. There is no immediate camping on the beach but coffs harbour has many campgrounds very close to the beach.
Nimbin & Coff's Harbour Camels | Australia 2015
This was one of the best days of my life - my early 30th birthday riding camels on the beach with my bffs and husband then onto Nimbin - the CRAZIEST litte town. We had such fun that night... this brings back great memories.

Flying through Australia's bushfires
A state of emergency has been declared in New South Wales as firefighters struggle to contain the flames caused by record heat in Australia.
Strong winds and high temperatures are expected to bring flames to more populated areas, including the suburbs of Sydney.
Sky's special correspondent Alex Crawford flew over some of the worst hit areas.

FlashFloodNov2012
STATE Emergency Services Unit Controller Bill Roffey checked out his weather radar on Saturday evening and realised the Coffs Coast was in for a deluge.
It looked just like it did in March 2009 when the heavens opened, he said.
I could see it going in circles around and around the city before it finally dumped on us.
The southside of the city from Combine Street down to Boambee and Toormina was hardest hit just after 6.30pm with torrential rain also falling around Perry Drive, Shephards Lane and over Red Hill.
The Coffs CBD was hit by monsoonal falls with drains overwhelmed and the Pacific Highway covered for a short time with some motorists stranded in storm water.
All emergency services were kept busy with police and RMS crews dealing with motor vehicle crashes and fallen debris over roads.
SES teams were called to several homes with minor water damage and Controller Roffey said calls for assistance are still trickling in.
Coffs Coast Advocate staff members were active through the night checking the progress of the storm.
Editor Graeme Singleton recorded 128 ml falling on the family property at Crossmaglen while friends reported 91 ml at Sawtell and 87 ml at Urunga.
Chief of Staff Brad Greenshields and his family live in the part of town hardest hit and reported flash flooding through the area in updates posted online earlier today.
This writer is relieved the Jetty missed the worst of Mother Nature with periods of intermittent heavy rain the only feature during the early hours of darkness.
However, a spectacular electrical storm continued out to sea after midnight with the biggest flash of lightning and rolling thunder around 3am, arcing over Beacon Hill to the airport and down the coast towards Urunga.
Early evidence from the SES suggests the city may have dodged a bullet with measures introduced since the March 2009 disaster likely to have proved their worth.
Combined with two early warnings of the approach of a storm cell, the SES and their partners were ready to take action if needed.
The systems Coffs Harbour City Council put in place appear to have done their job and lessened the potential for damage, Controller Roffey said.
With 160 ml dumped in the centre of town, there was no backing up at places like Mastrocolas Road like we've seen before and it got away as quickly as it arrived.
The highest observation for Coffs Creek was 2.1m and with a dozen new river and rain gauges installed around the area, we now have much more intelligence to work with whenever a downpour hits.
Fortunately, the amount of rain we were told to expect wasn't right but the theory of how to handle it was right.
That's puts us in a better position than we've ever been before.
With the weather alert for Southeast Queensland lifted, Mr Roffey feels the worst is over.
At least for the next day or so we expect conditions to be clear, he said.
