The Mayor of Colchester, Councillor John Elliott, switched on the festive snowflakes lights at Sunday from Colchester Borough Council's Town Hall. Emma Elsey, age 7 from Clacton, had the honour of assisting the Mayor light up the town after winning a competition, hosted by Dream 100 radio, to design Cinderella's slipper.
