PARIS IN MELBOURNE - COLLINS STREET | Luxury Stores In Melbourne, Australia
Collins Street is known as the Paris End of Melbourne, Australia, due to the luxury stores and historical buildings.
Collins Streets is one of the main streets in Melbourne's CBD, it's line with trees, heritage buildings, and high-end shops.
It is the first street in Melbourne to have sidewalk cafes, according to Wikipedia.
Collins Street is also home to the Athenaeum Theatre, the Regent Theatre and Collins Place.
If you're looking to see some old heritage buildings or looking to do some luxury shopping, then this place is for you.
For the rest of us who can't afford to shop in these stores can go there to window shop ;)

Swanston Street to Little Bourke St, Melbourne
The south end of Swanston Street, the main north-south thoroughfare in the Hoddle Grid on a busy Thursday evening. Features include the railway station, Fed square, St Paul's, Melbourne Town Hall (1870), the Manchester Unity Building, Bourke St Mall and Chinatown (Little Bourke).

Starting video with the Western side of Collins Street near Docklands and driving past Southern Cross Station towards Spring street. ideally i would love to do another video without stopping at so many traffic lights ,but then again this clip shows a typical life in (Melbourne Center) when people finish up work and transport in its peak (Melbourne cbd)

1988 Swanston St Melbourne Part 1.
Driving in the city before it became Swanston st Walk from Carlton brewery starting at Victoria st going past the building were Melbourne central is now you can see the 9 storey Coops shot tower 3 years before it was encased by the Melbourne Central cone and then we drive up to Collins st.
See part 2 for driving down Swanston st from Collins st to Flinders St.
The Coops (Melbourne Central) Shot Tower is located in the heart of the Melbourne CBD. It was completed in 1890 and is 50 metres high. The historic building was saved from demolition in 1973 and was incorporated into the massive Melbourne Central complex in 1991 underneath an 84m high conical glass roof.
Coop's Shot Tower is 9 storeys high, and has 327 steps to the top. The tower produced six tonnes of lead weekly up until 1961, when the demand for the lead shot dwindled, due to new firearm regulations.[citation needed]
Recently, a museum called the Shot Tower Museum has been set up inside of the tower at the back of R.M. Williams, which is tenanted in the tower.

Trams at Melbourne Central (Swanston Street) - Melbourne Transport
The tram stop outside Melbourne Central on Swanston Street is a very busy tram stop. It serves the train station and shopping centre, the State Library, QV, RMIT University, and is a popular transfer point for people heading up towards Melbourne University.
Here we see a variety of different trams including Z3, B2 and D1 (Siemens Combino) Class trams on routes 1,3,5,6,16,64,67 & 72. We also see a couple of trams on Latrobe Street; used by routes 30 and 35 (City Circle). Here we see some A Class and W Class trams. Latrobe Street is also used as an alternative route if there's a disruption somewhere in tn the CBD. On this occasion some Collins Street trams were diverting due to an ill passenger. We therefore see a C1 and a E1 Class tram.

Trams at Swanston & Collins St Intersection - January 2020
A Wednesday evening peak at the extremely busy intersection of Swanston and Collins Streets, in the Melbourne CBD. This intersection has the most tram routes passing through it of any in the city, with no less than 12 different colours intersecting on the map. Swanston Street is home to routes 1, 3/3a, 5, 6, 16, 64, 67 and 72 while Collins St carries the 11, 12, 48 and 109. All current types of tram can be seen here except for the W8 and C2 classes, although both would be potentially visible in the distance running on Flinders and Bourke streets respectively. Road vehicles are not permitted on this part of Swanston Street, making it popular with cyclists.
