We always have to keep in mind that a Documentary, after all, can tell lies and it can tell lies because it lays claim to a form of veracity which fiction doesn't.

We always have to keep in mind that a Documentary, after all, can tell lies and it can tell lies because it lays claim to a form of veracity which fiction doesn't. 2019 Colossal-Vail 50/50 Ultramarathon [Official]
The Colossal Vail 50/50 is an adventurous ultra run on portions of the Arizona Trail near the community of Vail (24 miles southeast of Tucson). Starting and finishing at Colossal Cave Mountain Park, both the 55K and 50-mile courses feature some of the greatest high desert trail running opportunities in this part of the state. And new for 2019 — we added a scenic and challenging half-marathon distance! It’s a little longer than most half-marathons: 13.6 miles to be exact.
The gentle terrain, expertly built trail, and wide-open vistas made the first running on Nov. 15, 2014 an instant hit. The Colossal Vail 50/50 utilizes some of the most recently completed sections of the Arizona National Scenic Trail between Saguaro National Park-East and the foothills of the Santa Rita Mountains. The course was designed by experienced members of the Tucson Trail Runners as a relatively fast trail ultra on rolling terrain with great scenery. Well-stocked aid stations, comprehensive emergency communications, excellent event swag, delicious finish line food, and much more await all who participate in the event. We also host a free 1-Mile Kids Fun Trail Run, so bring the family.

Colossal Cave Mountain Park
Is just outside of Tuscon. The cave is called dry or dormant which means that, due to a lack of water, the formations are not growing right now. Colossal Cave had been used for centuries by prehistoric peoples when it was discovered in 1879.
