About Mr. Ed (Ed Duncan)
Since I can remember, I have enjoyed the art of cooking. From a young age, I have cooked for myself and my family. All of my adult life has been spent in the hospitality industry in one facet or another around Columbus, GA. After acquiring my degree from Auburn University in Hotel and Restaurant Management, I set out on my first building adventure. The Choctaw Sports Bar and Grill were born in Columbus, GA. After a fun and educational run, I moved on to help the world-famous Chef Lee in Columbus, GA build his masterpiece restaurant in 1998. Now, after a 20-year run, my wife Elizabeth and I have decided to break back out on our newest adventure, “Mr. Ed’s On Broadway” in Columbus, GA. With a great deal of support from our friends and families, we bring Uptown Columbus, GA another great locally-owned and locally-created restaurant. Though our menu is Italian based, we have a variety of dishes and flavors to offer. Our Korean-inspired Bulgogi Hoagie is a flavorful beef sub made with marinated sirloin meat, hand cut, and grilled tender. It has quickly become one of our most popular and talked about menu items in Columbus, GA. Our lasagna is often complimented for its original, yet easy-to-eat flavor. All of our wings have original sauces that are both flavorful and pairable with any of our cold beer selections. So, if you are looking for another great Columbus, GA restaurant to have a drink or a meal, look no further than Mr. Ed’s On Broadway, located in historic Uptown Columbus, Georgia. From myself, my wife, our kids, and our Mr. Ed’s family, 'Thank you'.
Our commitment is to treat you with a combination of comfort, sensitivity, and quality care. Through our care and concern, we look forward to achieving smiles for a lifetime. Please contact us with your questions regarding any Italian Restaurant questions in the Columbus GA area.

Adventure #18 Missouri St. Louis In Summer
Jim Busek continued his motorcycle trip on Route 66 into St. Louis. He found the city vibrant, beautiful and full of interesting art, including the most amazing piece of public art in the country. He also took an eventful running tour (stlrunningtour.com) of the downtown area in a thunderstorm. Watch this video to share in the 18th of 50 Adventures in 50 States.

2019 Gator Grind Multi-Lap Gravel Race: Omaha, Georgia, USA
Part One of the inaugural Southern Brewery & Distillery Tour kicked off on October 5, 2019 at the Gator Grind, hosted by the Omaha Brewing Company and promoted by Jo Dirt Racing LLC. Omaha, Georgia, happens to be about 30 miles south of Columbus.
Rusty and JOM of Gravel Cyclist made the trek from our respective parts of Florida to attend the inaugural edition of Gator Grind. Gator Grind differs from every gravel race we've ever ridden, but we're certain there may be one or two on the calendar that follows this format. Rather than a huge loop to which there is no chance of quitting unless you call 911, your spouse, partner and so on, Gator Grind is all about laps... as many as you can ride in close to six hours. All handicam footage in this video by Rusty of Gravel Cyclist.

Places to see in ( Knoxville - USA )
Places to see in ( Knoxville - USA )
Knoxville is a city on the Tennessee River in eastern Tennessee. Downtown, the Market Square district has 19th-century buildings with shops and restaurants. The Museum of East Tennessee History has interactive exhibits plus regional art, textiles and Civil War artifacts. James White’s Fort, built by the Revolutionary War captain, includes the reconstructed 1786 log cabin that was Knoxville’s first permanent building.
Knoxville is in Eastern Tennessee, United States. It is the third-largest city in the state. It is the home of the University of Tennessee's primary campus (UTK) and site of the 1982 World's Fair. Knoxville is on the Tennessee River about an hour from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Once called the 'scruffy little city', the downtown is undergoing a rapid renaissance as young people move into the lofts and apartments created from the factories and warehouses of another era. On any evening of the week, throngs of residents and visitors can be seen at the sidewalk cafes, theaters, restaurants and night clubs along Gay Street and Market Square. The University of Tennessee, with its 27,000 students, is within walking distance of the downtown, separated only by the World's Fair Park.
One can still see remnants of the 1982 World's Fair in the Sunsphere, a rising structure topped with a gold sphere which dots Knoxville's skyline, however, most of the other structures from the Fair were removed to create a large city park which attracts families, students, and artists on weekends and sunny days. The World's Fair brought a lot of attention and development to the city, including high-rise office structures, and the four-star Hilton, Crowne Plaza and Marriott hotels.
Knoxville is home to the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame, but the city seems dominated by the University of Tennessee Volunteers (men only) and Lady Volunteers athletics. The basketball teams play in the 21,000+ seat Thompson Boling Arena, and the nationally recognized football team plays in Neyland Stadium, one of the largest on-campus stadiums in the world at 103,000 seating capacity. During the fall you will find plenty of orange in the foliage, but you will see Big Orange year round with the people of Knoxville.
Dubbed a 'scruffy little city' by the Wall Street Journal before the 1982 World's Fair, Knoxville is strutting its stuff these days as an increasingly prominent and well-polished destination for outdoor, gastronomy and craft-beer enthusiasts. Knoxville is also home to the University of Tennessee and its rabid college-football fan base. On game days the whole town is painted orange as fans pack Neyland Stadium to watch the beloved Volunteers. But there's more to Knoxville than football. No longer content to play second fiddle to nearby Chattanooga and Asheville, the city – a former textiles production center – now touts itself as a base camp for visitors to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Sugarlands Visitor Center is just 29 miles away, and Knoxville is a far more enticing spot to eat and drink than other cities near the park. For hikers and mountain bikers, the city's ever-expanding Urban Wilderness is becoming its own reason to visit.

Columbus Neighborhoods: The Short North
The story of one of the city's most vibrant and exciting neighborhoods includes the tale of the arches, the rise—and abrupt fall—of Union Station, an incredible reunion of Civil War soldiers, the transformation of a tough, gritty neighborhood to an arts district, and the emergence of local festivals and traditions that have become part of the Short North's character.

Providence Canyon (Georgia's Little Grand Canyon) State Outdoor Recreation Area - April 19, 2019
The Alabama OUTSIDErs went to Providence Canyon on, what started out to be, a very rainy day. However, by the time we got there, the rain was subsiding and it made for a pleasantly cool April day (for around here). If you go any time soon after it rains, make sure you wear shoes and clothes that you don't mind getting VERY muddy. The canyon floor is essentially Georgia clay (red AND white) and sand. With that said, I think it made it more fun for it to be so messy.
Providence Canyon State Outdoor Recreation Area is a 1,003 acre state park located in Stewart County, near Lumpkin and Omaha, in southwest Georgia. The park contains Providence Canyon, which is sometimes called Georgia's Little Grand Canyon. It is considered to be one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Georgia.
Also, nearby is Florence Marina State Park, which has camping if you want to make it an overnight trip. An added bonus for some of you adults: the Omaha Brewing Company is less than 15 miles away and it features a pet and kid-friendly tasting room that also has food trucks on Fridays and Saturdays.
Providence Canyon is about 1h15m from Auburn/Opelika, 45m from Columbus/Phenix City, and 2h15m from Atlanta.
