Can Ban Options (How To Guide) New Braunfels [Texas Tubes]
How To Guide for the New Braunfels Can Ban & Best Options for taking Food & Beverages on the Comal River when you go Tubing. We explain WHY there is a Can Ban, your options, and how to still have a great time Tubing in compliance with the New Braunfels Ordinance banning all Disposable Containers on the Comal River and Guadalupe River within the City Limits of New Braunfels. Violation of the Can Ban Ordinance could get you a Ticket and a hefty fine, so knowing before you go is the best way to insure you have a great time on the river and avoid any problems. You can go to our Rules Page on our Website at: for a full list of the New Braunfels River Rules for Tubing on the Comal River. In this Video, we cover the main items you CANNOT take on the river and a variety of items you CAN take on the river in order to be in compliance with the Can Ban Ordinance and still have fun. Basically, no Disposable Containers are allowed on the Comal River and the Guadalupe River within the City Limits of New Braunfels to prevent litter from ending up in both rivers. Disposable Containers consists of any Food or Beverage container that is meant to be a one time use, throw-away container, such as aluminum foil, aluminum cans (beer cans and soda cans) candy and snack wrappers, paper bags, paper plates, paper towels, napkins, and containers, plastic (water bottles, plastic wrap, plastic bags, trash bags, plastic cups, ziploc baggies, etc), and cardboard packaging (Wine boxes, juice boxes, etc. Also all Glass, Styrofoam and Foam items are prohibited on all Texas Rivers, which is a State Law. That means NO fast food to-go Styrofoam drink cups or Styrofoam food containers on the river. Items you can take are Non-Disposable containers, such as Yeti Cups, Tupperware containers, Sport Drinking Bottles, half-gallon and 1 gallon Flip-top Jugs and One 30 Quart Cooler or smaller is allowed per person and the Cooler must have a Locking Mechanism on the Lid to prevent the contents of your cooler from accidentally spilling into the river. As always, if you have any questions, you can call Texas Tubes at 830-626-9900. Thank you and have a great time on the river! Visit our Website for more information about Tubing down the Comal River:

Comal Springs at Landa Park in New Braunfels Texas
The Comal Springs are the LARGEST in Texas and the American Southwest. Seven major springs and dozens of smaller ones occur over a distance of about 4,300 feet at the base of a steep limestone bluff in New Braunfels' Landa Park. The Springs and the Comal River below are home for a federally endangered species, the Fountain Darter. In Spanish, 'comal' is a flat griddle used for cooking tortillas, so the name probably refers to the flat area below the bluff where the springs issue forth. This is video footage of the largest and most easily visited spring - just west of Landa Park Drive. Ironically, the Comal RIVER is said to be the shortest river in the United States.
How to TUBE the River like a Boss in New Braunfels, Texas-Day 2
We had such a fun day tubing the river. Learned about where to park, how much the tubes cost and fought a case of anxiety going through the 'chutes'. Our day ended back at the rental house playing games and having a dance party. #nevertoooldtoboogy

River Road Camp, Guadalupe River, New Braunfels, TX
Video taken on April 29, 2015. This is during off season and in the middle of the week. There is only one RV camping here in the whole campground. I took a drive on the 4 wheeler from one end of the campground to the other end. I started down river (to the left after entering the campground), at site T1 and ended up upriver with a shot of campsite T9A. I also show our motorhome site as camp hosts at the top of the hill where we have a good view looking down at the campground. Plus, at the end of the video, I do a scan from the left to the right upon entering the campground. I hope you enjoy.

Tubin the Guadalupe River - New Braunfels Texas
Please watch: The Trip to Krause Springs Swimming Hole - Texas
--~--
We went on a Tubing adventure on the Guadalupe River in New Braunfels TX May 2018. You can go to one of the many tub renal places, pay them and they will drive you up the river to a dropoff place. Then you just leisurely float down the river to the get out point or back to the rental place.
Make sure to take some sunscreen and plenty of your favorite beverages to stay hydrated. There are a few places along the river you can get out at, but they are limited.
Thanks for watching
