A smooth drive through Combe Martin
Combe Martin is said to be the longest village street in the country, or so my mum says. She lived here, in a house called Frittiscombe, during the Second World War. The smoothness of the drive was thanks to a superb driver. Hello to the very helpful people at the Information Centre next to the museum.
Combe Martin's Hidden Heritage - Going Underground
An except from the film project led by young people in the village of Combe Martin. A DVD of this and other films on this subject are available from Combe Martin Museum, along with a book about the silver mining heritage of the region.
The project was made possible with support from Exmoor National Park, The North Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Combe Martin Museum, The Museum of Barnstaple & North Devon, North Devon Council and The Combe Martin Silver Mines Research and Preservation Society.
This Young Roots project was funded by The Heritage Lottery fund.

Combe Martin Lead and Silver Mines
This is one of the parts of the Heaven on Lundy film that I have been making. The Silver Mines were a important of the English Civil War where Thomas Bushell who held the silver mines for the King tried to get as much of the silver out of he mines before being over run by the Parliamentarians. The mines are run by a enthusiastic group of volunteers. Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park (Full Video)
Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park! Its a part of my childhood, it began to grow on me at a very young age. I still have a good memory of it many years ago and photos were taken of it back then.
I might do a video showcase of the old photos to show how things have changed drastically over time.
I visit the place once every few years during summers, to see how it's going on and what's changed there.
Unfortanly quality has gone south with the most recent changes; dinosaur designs look cartoonish and some older dinosaurs have terrible repaints. It isn't like what it used to be.
I already did a few videos about the place, those are parts of it but not entirely.
I decided to show off 90% of what I recorded during my visit to it.
I had to cut a bit off my videos so adobe's premiere can do their transitions correctly.

Places to see in ( Derry - UK )
Derry, also known as Londonderry, is a city on the River Foyle in Northern Ireland. It’s known for the intact 17th-century Derry’s Walls with 7 gates. Within the walls, spired St. Columb’s Cathedral displays artefacts from the 1688–9 Siege of Derry. Near the Peace Bridge, the Tower Museum has city views and historical exhibits. Huge stained-glass windows adorn the neo-Gothic red sandstone Guildhall.
Derry is the second-largest city in Northern Ireland and the fourth-largest city on the island of Ireland. The name Derry is an anglicisation of the Old Irish name Daire (modern Irish: Doire) meaning oak grove. In 1613, the city was granted a Royal Charter by King James I and gained the London prefix to reflect the funding of its construction by the London guilds. While the city is more usually known colloquially as Derry, Londonderry is also commonly used and remains the legal name.
The old walled city lies on the west bank of the River Foyle, which is spanned by two road bridges and one footbridge. The city now covers both banks (Cityside on the west and Waterside on the east). The district administered by Derry City and Strabane District Council contains both Londonderry Port and City of Derry Airport.
Derry is close to the border with County Donegal, with which it has had a close link for many centuries. The person traditionally seen as the founder of the original Derry is Saint Colmcille, a holy man from Tír Chonaill, the old name for almost all of modern County Donegal, of which the west bank of the Foyle was a part before 1610. In 2013, Derry was the inaugural UK City of Culture, having been awarded the title in 2010.

Places to see in ( Ilfracombe - UK )
Ilfracombe is a seaside resort and civil parish on the North Devon coast, England, with a small harbour surrounded by cliffs. Ilfracombe stretches along the coast from the 'Coastguard Cottages' in Hele Bay toward the east and 4 miles along the Torrs to Lee Bay toward the west. The resort of Ilfracombe is hilly and the highest point within the parish boundary is at 'Hore Down Gate', 2 miles inland and 860 feet (270 m) above sea level.
The landmark of Hillsborough Hill dominates the harbour and is the site of an Iron Age fortified settlement. In the built environment, the architectural-award-winning Landmark Theatre is either loved or hated for its unusual double-conical design. The 13th century parish church, Trinity, and the St Nicholas's Chapel (a lighthouse) on Lantern Hill, have been joined by the Damien Hirst owned statue, Verity, as points of interest.
Ilfracombe overlies slates formed from sedimentary rock that underwent geological stress (creating faults and folds), towards the end of the Carboniferous Period, around 300 million years ago. These are known as the Ilfracombe slates. Ilfracombe lies within the North Devon Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty which is renowned for its dramatic coastal cliffs and landscape.
Ilfracombe is at the southern end of the A361, the longest 3-digit A-road in England. From 1874, Ilfracombe was served by the Ilfracombe railway line that ran from Barnstaple, but this closed in 1970. Now, the nearest National Rail railway station is in Barnstaple and buses provide the public transport link from there to Ilfracombe.
