Rubicon's interior decor is casual elegance with shiny wood paneling. Photographs shot from the owner's family world cruise enhance the staterooms, creating a wanderlust feeling to sail to remote regions of the globe.

There are many enjoyable places on board to enjoy! The main salon, cockpit, and forward trampolines are the main gathering areas for meals and activities. The trampoline area is the optimum spot to hang out while underway, enjoying the salt breeze and luscious scenery of the islands.

Cat Rubicon carries a crew of professional captain and chef. It is the perfect yacht for a group or family vacation. Among her many possible activities are kiteboarding and surfing. You may also participate in eco-adventures including feeding swimming pigs, snorkeling, kayaking, hiking nature trails, sailing and enjoying remote beaches. She accommodates up to 6 guests in three private cabins described below. Each stateroom is equipped with ensuite bathroom, electric fans in each cabin, and A/C in two forward cabins.

CABIN 1: Port side forward, featuring a queen-sized berth, large opening hatch overhead, 2 large closets, 2 bedside shelves. (Cabins 1 & 2 are equivalent in the layout.) A private bathroom and shower/small tub adjoin.

CABIN 2: Starboard side forward, featuring a queen-sized berth, large opening hatch overhead, 2 large closets and 2 beside shelves. (Cabins 1 & 2 are equivalent in the layout.) A private bathroom and shower/small tub adjoin.

CABIN 3: starboard side aft, a queen size berth, large opening hatch overhead, dresser, and vanity. Adjoining, is a private bathroom.

If you have ever wanted to sleep under the stars, Rubicon's trampolines also offer spacious star-spangled sleeping quarters.

RUBICON has a new Honda 2000 watt generator that runs the A/C all night at anchor! However, it really only sufficiently cools the two fwd cabins OR the salon, so we can only offer A/C for two cabins. RUBICON also has a 2kw inverter and a 15 gallon per hour watermaker
The main salon seats 10 guests and crew. The cockpit table seats 8 guests and crew.
Rubicon also has trampoline awnings for the foredeck.

After the Moorings and Sunsail finished the repairs on our cruising catamaran, we set sail sail for the US mainland with Dean' s best mate along to experience the cruising lifestyle and lend a hand while sailing.

Our leopard 39 is ready to head back and get a retrofit. The cruising lifestyle aboard a cruising catamaran and cruising Bahamas is under way. Our sailing lifestyle story begins as we make our way from Marsh Harbour Bahamas in the Sea of Abaco to West End Bahamas.

Danielle and Dean sold their home in suburbia with the plans of moving to a sailboat and sailing the Caribbean. As a test to see how their businesses run from a remote location, they moved to a cabin in the woods of northern Wisconsin. They enjoyed living there so much, the test run turned into two years of hiking, fishing, hunting, and outdoor fun.. Now, they're on their way to an adventure at sea. Along with enjoying their ups and downs on the waves, you can follow along as Dean takes on the challenge of catching major fish species and Danielle explores the world of beauty from the perspective of different cultures.

Sailing Vessel Triteia - Sailing to Coches Prietos Anchorage, Santa Cruz Island

The last week of 2017 I took an amazing solo sailing trip to the Channel Islands. I visit six anchorages on Santa Cruz Island before sailing for Catalina Island and tying up in Isthmus Cove for New Years Eve and meeting up with Meital. We sailed back on New Years Day enjoying sunshine, great wind and thousands of dolphins.

On this episode I prepare Triteia for the long trip and push off for Santa Cruz Island. The over night passage was 22.5 hours / 77 nm finally coming to anchor at Coches Prietos Anchorage on the southern shore of Santa Cruz.

While I was on my trip I started my first podcast and the first episode is up online now. The podcast is titled “A STERN VIEW” and is something of a cruising guide to anchorages and sailing destinations. Each episode is recorded on location and I cover everything I know about the anchorage from my research and experience at the anchorage.

I also kept a journal in my logbook and will be posting them as a blog with still photos. This will act as support to the A STERN VIEW podcast as will each new video episode that features the anchorage covered in the podcast episodes.
