This expansive museum displays a plethora of military planes that were actually used by the military and each one has its own rich history. The Palm Springs Air Museum (PSAM), is a non-profit educational institution in Palm Springs, Riverside County, California. The Museum's mission is to exhibit, educate and eternalize the role of the World War II combat aircraft and the role the pilots and American citizens had in winning the war. In addition to flying aircraft, related artifacts, artwork, and library sources are used to perpetuate American history. It contains one of the world's largest collections of flying World War II warplanes, many of which were built in Southern California. Many of these aircraft have been used by motion picture companies in movies set during the second world war. [Description source :

B-29 Superfortress FiFi Walk Around at BUR
This is the only flying B-29 left in the world and is operated by the Commemorative Air Force or CAF which is a non profit aviation association that operates and maintains classic military aircraft. The next stop on the CAF Airpower History Tour is here in Burbank and they will be here all weekend from 3/21/13 - 3/24/13. They had just arrived from Camarillo (CMA) after preforming a low fly by over the airport before landing. I was lucky enough to be working at the time of the arrival so I was able to go check out these awesome planes as soon as they landed.

Grumman F6F Hellcat
The Grumman F6F Hellcat was a carrier-based fighter aircraft conceived to replace the earlier F4F Wildcat in United States Navy (USN) service. The Hellcat was an erstwhile rival of the faster Vought F4U Corsair for use as a carrier based fighter. However, the Corsair had significant issues with carrier landing that the Hellcat did not, allowing the Hellcat to steal a march as the Navy's dominant fighter in the second part of World War II, a position the Hellcat did not relinquish. The Corsair instead was primarily deployed to great effect in land-based use by the U.S. Marine Corps.
Although the F6F resembled the Wildcat in some ways, it was a completely new design, powered by a 2,000 hp Pratt & Whitney R-2800, the same powerplant used for both the Corsair and the United States Army Air Force's (USAAF) Republic P-47 Thunderbolt fighters. Some military observers tagged the Hellcat as the Wildcat's big brother.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

Wendy Trail Danialson Fire Road -- Newbury Park, CA
This trail is near the Sycamore Canyon area but goes off in the other direction. It's a decent climb up the hill and then it branches off a couple of directions but not for that far. The fun part is coming back down the hill on the rocky section.
Check out our Wendy Trail Danialson Fire Road review.
Filmed using the GoPro HD Hero 2 (rear) and the GoPro HD Hero 3 (front) cameras using K-Edge handlebar and saddle mounts on a 2013 Specialized Stumpjumper Comp Evo along with a 2012 Yeti ASR 5.
