Situated in the Business district of Bangalore, Commercial Street is closer to M.G Road and Russell Market in Shivajinagar. This video shows the footage of a drive through Commercial Street starting from Kamaraj Road and all the way to the other end of Jumma Masjid or Old Poor House Road. While walking down the street, I try to give you a good idea about the shops and various sites along the way.

It is famous for upscale shopping for apparel, brand stores, footwear, art and crafts, and jewelry. There are several cross streets, which have some bargain specialty stores featuring lace, footwear, handbags, and apparel. There are lots of stores with tailors who make custom-made clothing. Parking can be difficult as the street is narrow and favors one-way driving. However, try to find a place nearby at Kamaraj Road and Army Defense Land parking area. It gets much busier during weekends and festival seasons. Shops are open 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. There are restaurants and famous shops with sweets and savories. Overall, it is a great place to visit and shopping!

I used to spend hours in Commercial Street and end up buying nothing because I just could not find the right shop.

Commercial Street is a high street in Bangalore, the state capital of Karnataka, India. One of the elite and busiest areas of the city, the street is famous for retailing apparel, footwear, jewellery, electronics; and food and beverage. the street is one of the most visited in the city. The street has been continuously operational for over 400 years. It is a one way. With one end starting at Kamaraj Road and the other at Juma Masjid or Old Poor House Road. The length of the street is approx 459 meters. Has 5 cross roads that lead into many mass and mid segment shopping destinations. It is one of the top 10 high streets of India and one of the top 3 high streets in Bangalore. It is also a major tourist destination and sees people from all across the world. The shops on the street are open from 10 AM to 10 PM on all days and is managed by the Commercial Street Association. Talks have been on to make it a 24 hours market. Most of the stores are owned by the operators of the brands.

Commercial Street lies in the heart of the city in the Central Business District area, close to M G Road, another popular shopping area, and the swag Russell Market in Shivajinagar. Footfalls are high and it has become a premium destination for shoppers in Bangalore. Commercial Street is one of the core streets of Bangalore CBD including MG road and Brigade Road. It is called commercial street because business in the erstwhile Bangalore Cantonment started from here and it is also considered as the destination where the modern Central Business District started from. The street has many retail flagship stores of many Indian and International Brands and most of them are highly profitable. Due to this the price per sq ft of the real estate here is the highest in Bangalore.
