Spot Delivery Tour 2017 | Levi’s Skateboarding X Titus | Dresden
Follow us now at | | |
This year, we began the Titus X Levi’s Spot Delivery Tour 2017 on May 20th, which just so happened to the be the 144th anniversary of Levi’s jeans! We fired up the Titus Sprinter van in Münster and headed East to begin our journey. This year’s plan involved three German cities where we would work to improve their current DIY park or build totally new obstacles. We had a heavy crew joining us including Adam Przybyla, Tom Kleinschmidt, Thomas Prochaska, Rohan Anderson and Julius Dittmann. Christian Blümle and Dennis Scholz were also on board to document the whole trip.
The final stop of our journey brought us to the hometown of Tom Kleinschmidt, Dresden! We were heading to the pre-existing DIY spot “Trini” that was built by the locals years ago. However, the spot was in dire need of some love and maintenance to remain skate-able. We successfully built several new obstacles as well as various repairs to help breathe some life into an old spot. Like in Chemnitz, the temperatures kept us sweating throughout the day as we worked tirelessly under the sun. We found our way to a nearby lake to cool off after the long day. The lake just happened to have a 16 meter cliff dive nearby that let the adrenaline junkies get their fix! We ended the day at Titus Dresden shop manager Andi’s house. Andi has a barn with a mini ramp where we relaxed with some beers, BBQ, and a camp fire. A perfect end to a legendary trip!
Small Travel Gems: Dresden, Germany

Review: Jugendgästehaus Dresden / Dresden Youth Hostel, Saxony, Germany - February 2014
I arrived in Dresden on a very sunny and unseasonably warm February afternoon in 2014. I was booked into the Youth Hostel, as I was working in the city for several days.
The film begins with exterior shots of the hostel and the lift ride up to the top floor.
Upon arrival, I found that I was booked into a standard twin room instead of the apartment / suite that I usually stay in. The film features a detailed review of this twin room.
I wasn't entirely happy about not getting the apartment, so I offered to pay to upgrade. The excellent reception staff allowed me the upgrade at no charge, whether that was because I've stayed there many times before or just because they wanted to show great customer service I don't know, either way I was ecstatic at the upgrade.
The film then shows in detail the apartment room at the hostel, including the bedroom, living room, hallway and bathroom.
Views from the hotel are included in the film, which finishes with a view of one of the breakfast rooms, and a sample of the excellent breakfast buffet.
I like this hostel and would recommend it to other budget visitors to Dresden.

Dresden, Germany - Self Guided Walking Day Tour - Zwinger

Travel Germany - Visiting Pillnitz Castle in Dresden
Take a tour of Pillnitz Castle in Dresden, Germany -- part of the World's Greatest Attractions series by GeoBeats.
In the East of Dresden, sitting beside the river Elbe, is Pillnitz Castle.
This elaborate masterpiece stands on the grounds of a former Dresden church.
In the 18th century, it was designed by the master mind behind many beautiful buildings of the city, Matthäus Daniel Pöppelmann.
Built largely in Baroque style architecture, it was also greatly influenced by Asian architecture.
The 3 pavilions of the palace, on which the entire design is based, are said to be inspired by the Emperor's palace in Beijing.
Set amidst gorgeous, colorful gardens and the famous local vineyards, Pillnitz castle is one of Dresden's jewels.
