Compass Cruise,Cairns- Boomnetting
Boomnetting is one activity which cannot be done on the fancy big boats.Another plus is the incredible value you get when you book the Compass Cruise. As you can see from the video, there is a boat which follows the boom netters and picks them up as they lose their grip.

Boom netting - Great Barrier Reef - Cairns - Queensland - Australia
Everything was great!!
Especially Compass Cruises Boom netting !!
Cairns - Best way to visit the Great Barrier Reef on a budget.
We went with Compass cruises and paid A$ 115 pp.
A$ 50 pp on top of that if you wish to scuba dive. No experience required.
All equipments provided.
They kept feeding us through out the trip.
Go early to secure the seat near the air con and do invest A$ 3 on the seasick tablets. Take it before you get sick, once you are seasick it’ll be too late for the meds to work.
I did not think I would fall sick... but thats where everything went wrong for me. I should have listened to them.
Looking out towards the horizon helped a lot.
We had so much fun, the crew was amazing everyone of them. They made us feel very cosy and taken care of.
I highly recommend.

Inside The World's Most Expensive Cruise
The world's most expensive cruise onboard the Regent Seven Seas Explorer.
This cruise ship by Regent Seven Seas Cruises is hosting the world's most expensive cruise ship sailing in November 2021, ticking off fabulous ports like Sihanoukville; weighing in at £1 Million for two with Six Star Cruises (sixstarcruises.co.uk).
You might be expecting the world's most expensive cruise ship to come with a bit of style? And you certainly won't be disappointed with Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Channel 5 even launched their own Regent Seven Seas Explorer documentary Secrets of The World’s Most Expensive Cruise Ships. You’ll check in to the elegant and really spacious, Regent Suite. Regent Seven Seas Cruises completes these Regent Suites with Versace tableware and crystal chandeliers. Sprawling across 4,443 square feet, the Regent Suite features Picasso artwork on the walls, a baby grand piano and an in-suite spa with its own sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi.
Onboard the world's most expensive cruise ship, the Regent Seven Seas Explorer will provide you with the services of your own private butler - ready and waiting to serve up a glass, or six, of champagne while you sit out on your Regent Suite wrap-around balcony; offering some of the best views on the Regent Seven Seas Explorer.
There’s plenty of fabulous facilities onboard the world's most expensive cruise ship to pass the time on your Regent Seven Seas Explorer four-month voyage when you're not in fabulous ports like Sihanoukville – like a private mini-pool and culinary arts centre offering cookery classes. Passengers onboard the Regent Seven Seas Explorer can spend their evenings dining at one of the seven board restaurants – from a juicy New York strip at Prime 7 steakhouse to Beluga Caviar at Pacific Rim.
If you’re a regular cruiser you’ll know that sadly the general rule of cruising is that for every week onboard you’ll put on a stone – so imagine the impact of over 100 days at sea. Luckily Regent Seven Seas Cruises provide plenty of facilities on the world's most expensive cruise ship to help guests stay in shape, including a fitness centre complete with workout equipment and an extensive timetable of Pilates and yoga classes. Meanwhile, for sports lovers - the Regent Seven Seas Explorer has putting greens, golf nets, a jogging track and even courts for bowls and paddle tennis.
In terms of the itinerary, you’ll start your Regent Seven Seas Cruises voyage in London where you’ll fly First Class to Dubai with Emirates and it’s a seven-hour journey. Emirates was actually voted World’s Best First Class in 2019 and on the flight you’ll experience the world’s best service with gourmet dining, use of the onboard Spa and of course the chance to enjoy a cocktail or eight at the on-board lounge. Once you land in Dubai, you’ll be transferred to the Burj Al Arab for a three-night stay in the Royal Two-Bedroom Suite. It’s got fantastic views of Dubai from above looking at famous landmarks like the Palm and Atlantis. The suite itself comes with its own room, butler service and £828 of extra credit – not like you’ll need it.
After a day of leisure and shopping in Dubai as well as splurging the cash in the resort, you’ll also have a chance to explore the Dubai desert with a private safari. In this, you’ll ride across the desert in a Hummer H2 before watching the sunset behind the dunes while sipping on traditional Arabian coffee.
Back in Hong Kong you’ll re-embark on the world's most expensive cruise ship, the Regent Seven Seas Explorer, and tick off Hanoi, Hue, Nha Trang, Ho Chi Minh City, Sihanoukville, Bangkok, Ko Samui, Singapore, Semarang, Surabaya, Bali, Darwin, Thursday Island, Cairns, Airlie Beach, Brisbane, Syndey and Auckland. You’ll then re-join the Regent Seven Seas Explorer and tick off the Bay of Islands, Gisborne, Napier, Wellington, Akaroa, Tasmania, Melbourne, Mooloolaba, Cooktown, Komodo, Jakarta, Penang, Port Klang, Singapore, Kagoshima, Kochi, Osaka and finishing off in Shimizu. You’ll then disembark from the world's most expensive cruise ship in Tokyo for a five-night stay at the luxurious urban Aman Tokyo Hotel. Unfortunately, your four-month trip with Regent Seven Seas Cruises onboard the world's most expensive cruise ship has come to an end so it’s time to disembark the Regent Seven Seas Explorer for a final first-class flight back to London with Singapore Airlines.

Snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef + Boom Netting | GoPro Session (Cairns Travel Vlog #2)
It's my second day in Cairns and I'm snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland, Australia with my GoPro Session on a gorgeous tropical day.
SUBSCRIBE FOR FRESH STUDENT TRAVEL VIDEOS EVERY TUESDAY ????????
Check out part 1 of my adventures around Cairns:
It was a beautiful day to snorkel and see the coral reef for the first time, and boom netting at the end of the day trip was a thrilling experience.
For my second day in Cairns I booked a full day snorkeling tour of the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland, Australia. My boat took off early in the morning so I packed my GoPro and quickly left my hostel to get out on the water and see the coral reef.
I’m chronically sea sick and unfortunately forgot my motion sickness pills, but luckily my student-friendly tour group Compass Cruises had some on the boat for us to take before we left the Cairns harbour. After a few hours on the water we finally got to the Great Barrier Reef and it was time to finally get into the water.
Not being a particularly good swimmer I opted for the life jacket, but that didn’t stop me from experiencing the reef at all. The ocean water was crystal clear and surprisingly warm, and although the Great Barrier Reef is slowly starting to die it was still a sight to behold.
The coral seemed like it went on forever and I came across some very strange looking fish that I’d never seen before. I was able to capture lots of footage on my GoPro (though unfortunately a lot of it is shaky) and got a lot of pictures to bring home and show my family.
After a while I started to get cold and tired, so I made my way back onto the boat to rest and get some tea before going boom netting for the first time.
Now before going snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef I had never heard about boom netting, so when they told us that we were going to get dragged on a net behind the boat I was pretty surprised.
The person explaining it said that they needed some people to be anchors, which basically meant that we’d get water in our faces the entire time and keep the net pulled out while people jumped on it.
I initially really didn’t want to anchor the boom net, especially since I’m not a good swimmer, but somehow when we got to the deck I ended up as one of the first ones out. After some funny and not so reassuring words from a crew member, I jumped into the water with the other anchors.
Although I was one of the first people to fall off, anchoring the boom net was still a really fun time. I don’t think I ever want to anchor a boom net ever again, but I’d definitely want to try boom netting as a regular jumper and I’m happy that I got the chance to anchor this once.
After a couple more hours, we finally got back to Cairns for the end of what was a long and very fun day that I won’t soon forget.

The Great Barrier Reef Adventure
It was another amazing day in Cairns. We went to the Great Barrier Reef with Compass Cruises.
Food was great and crew was friendly.
I was sea sick but it doesn’t stop me from jumping and enjoy snorkeling with my daughter.
Going to the Great Barrier Reef is one of the must thing to do when you are in Cairns, Queensland.
By the way, we took the video using iPhone 7 inside a waterproof case (LifeProof brand). I think it did a good job.
