1. How to drive to Coney Island Park, East Entrance?
Start on Pasir Ris Industrial Drive 1 ???? Farmway 2 continue on to Farmway 3 ???? Turn right onto Pasir Coast Industry Park 6 until you see an open field on the right. Look out for the Coney Island sign on your left. (If you miss it and go on straight, it'll lead to a private jetty.)

Continue straight on Lorong Halus, continue on Pasir Coast Industry Park 6 until you see the Coney Island sign on your left.

S'PORE: Coney Island Park
[3,370_11] Coney Island (aka Pulau Serangoon) was officially opened to public on 10/10/15. It is connected to mainland Singapore at the eastern and western ends of the island. There are tracks in this 50 ha island for exploring the woods and the beaches. There is a 2 km stretch of beach which can be accessed at various points along the 2.4 km track connecting the western entrance to the eastern entrance. This track forms part of the Park Connector Network (PCN), allowing cyclists to cycle between Punggol and Pasir Ris.

Tips in visiting the Island.
Besides being rich in history, Coney Island Park houses a wide variety of habitats, including coastal forests, grasslands, mangroves, and casuarina woodlands. It is home to a wide variety of fauna and flora, some of which are critically endangered. Some plants at the park are presumed nationally extinct in the wild.
Try spotting one of 80 species of birds on Coney Island Park, including the resident male Baya Weavers weaving their large and intricate nests from flowering Acacia trees. Hear the Oriental Magpie-robin’s songs from the forest, or follow the flocks of parakeets flying through the forest canopies. The different habitats in the park allow for a high diversity in bird species, thus making the park an ideal location for birdwatching. With its rich biodiversity in a rustic setting, Coney Island Park offers much to explore for bird and nature enthusiasts.
The rustic Coney Island Park is an ecologically sustainable park with many environmental initiatives. It focuses on conserving energy and water, recycling and retaining of the natural elements in the park. The timber from uprooted Casuarina trees were collected and recycled into park signage, seats, benches, boardwalk, and exhibits at Casuarina Exploration.
Start exploring the forest and mangrove habitats on the newly built boardwalk and move on to the beach which can be accessed at five locations. You may also ride through the island along the 2.5 km Coney Island Park Connector, taking in the beautiful promenade view of the Serangoon Reservoir.

Coney Island Escape Singapore
Singapore's urbanised, but there are pockets of nature to discover. Coney Island is located at the north-eastern tip of Singapore, just about 100 metres off the main island. There are 2 entrances to the island - West and East, 2.4 kilometres apart.
From the West entrance, you would have to head in from Punggol Settlement, which is at the end of Punggol Road. There, you would find yourself standing at the edge of Singapore, with Malaysia in the distance across the water body. If you plan to travel on wheels, there's a bicycle rental shop (Jomando Adventure and Recreation #01-13) at Punggol Settlement. From there, follow the cycling path (in green below) and you will find the huge gate which says Coney Island in about 500 metres.

Coney Island, alternatively known as Pulau Serangoon, is a 133-hectare island located off the northeastern coast of Singapore within the town of Punggol, between Pulau Ubin to its northeast and the main and to its southwest.The island was once owned by entrepreneur siblings Aw Boon Haw and Aw Boon Par, before being sold to an Indian businessman, Ghulam Mahmood, in 1950 with the intention of turning the island into a resort modelled after the amusement park at Coney Island, New York.
The resort was opened in 1951, complete with a dance hall, restaurant and bar and seaside accommodation. In 1954, the island was put up for auction just 3 years after the resort was opened and in 1972, the Singapore government bought Coney Island from a Thai businessman and planned to carry out land reclamation works with tentative plans to develop the island into a recreational venue with chalets, a beach and a marina. The land reclamation works begun in 1975, increasing the area of the island from 32 hectares (0.32 km2) to 62 hectares (0.62 km2). Further land reclamation works were carried out during the 1990s with plans to build a 50 hectare park together with the development of Punggol New Town.
The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) said that under the Master Plan, a part of Coney Island was zoned for residential, sport and recreational use but as the land is not immediately required for development, a part of Coney Island would be kept as an interim park for the time being. The rest of the island was zoned for park use. On 11 October 2015, Coney Island Park opened to the public, with a beach stretching 2 km (1 mi) and a 2.4 km (1 mi) long path that is part of the park connector network.
