WEIRD! SUN WORLD DANANG WONDERS ???? ASIA PARK | Sun Wheel Danang | Vietnam Travel Vlog 075, 2017
Asia Park, now Sun World Danang Wonders in 2017, is a Vietnam theme park with a massive Sun Wheel in the middle of Danang. The Sunwheel is the park icon because its visible from all around the city and one of the largest in a theme park in Asia.
Sun World Danang Wonders, aka Asia Park, was pretty cool but so incredibly empty! Da Nang is a busy place to travel, as with most of Vietnam, then there is this empty park in the middle of the city and its all a bit strange!
In this vlog we made the trip up from Hoi An to spend the evening at Asia Park đà nẵng and ride the sunwheel before trying the best burgers we've had in a loooong time!

Abuse of a corpse, Vietnam Tet Offensive
Look through your Prentice Hall American History textbook. Specifically, find the subsection dealing with the VietNam war. After realizing the lie it tells about the gulf of Tonkin incident, look at the images. You will find one that has this caption
A tank is used to evacuate wounded American soldiers from battle
It is in color and attributed to Time Life Pictures/Getty Images.
I made a few mistakes; John Olson's image is exactly the same as Don McCullin's except for the leg of Dennis Ommert and the colorizing. I incorrectly identified the soldier with the bloodied/clean leg as Jim Rice. Jim Rice is the man in front of Dennis Ommert with the fully bandaged face.
AP archive photo (680217044 2/17/68) caption reads
Marines transport their seriously wounded atop a US army tank through the streets of [the citadel] Hue toward a helicopter evacuation point on 17 February 1968. Tanks were the only vehicles able to travel the streets because of rubble from buildings destroyed during the still-ongoing Tet offensive. The marines came under sniper fire several times on the journey
The colorized caption says
Wounded Marines ride on top of converted tank used as make-shift ambulance during the battle to recapture the city of Hue during the Tet Offensive in the Vietnam War, Hue, Vietnam, early 1968.
John Olson
John Olson said
the photograph on the tank was a moment that at the time of capture, didn't stand out to me at all. It was just another image. In context it was such a horrific battle with such horrific images. Hue was different. There were tremendous casualties, and no way to treat them, no way to get them taken out. There were reports and as shown in this image there was a Marine who was badly wounded...so badly he couldn't be treated, and he was zipped up in a body bag while he was still alive…
The picture on the tank was the most significant image I ever made. I will never make another image like that, and I will never be witness to anything more meaningful in the rest of my life.
From
(Alpha company 1st Battalion 5th Marines)
Jim Beals C 1/5 (Holding the bottle), Richard Schlagel (holding James Blaine KIA 2/15 – C 1/5), Jim Rice H&S 1/5 (w/Bandage on face), Dennis Ommert H&S 1/5 (behind Jim), and last Richard E. Hill.
Al Billings, nephem of Jim said
Jim Beals, who is holding the bottle, had the bottle shot out of his hand by a sniper or a stray bullet moments after this shot was taken.
And Richard Schlagel said
Jim Beals and I were standing next to James when he was shot. People Magazine found us and took our stories.
Of note here is the fact that James Blaine (the prone casualty) died (KIA) February 15 and the picture was taken February 17, 1968. Hence the title of this video. Have to admit, doing intravenous on a corpse seems more dramatic than medically indicated. His skin does look really good for being dead 2 days in the tropics. And, no dog tags.
Another source claims the person holding the prone casualty is Donald Lee Kolnsberg.
But, Don McCullin
Took the same pictures.
Man with a camera (Bronson). Pictures don't always tell the truth. Don McCullin interview also is revealing; photography is the truth if it is being handled by a truthful person. Cameras tell the truth only if the person taking the picture, publishing the picture is honest.
