SCARED of the Go Karts - Day 11 - Florida: The Grand Adventure
On Day 11 we continue using the Go Orlando card around some more of the smaller attractions in and around the Orlando area.
We first go up to Winter Park for the Scenic Boat Tour, and then can't agree on what a flatbread is. We then head back to International Drive to learn about more wacky and wonderful phenomena at Ripley's Believe It or Not, followed by a game of crazy golf at Congo River Golf, before ending the night with go karts & a VR rollercoaster at Fun Spot America!
This is the second week of our Grand Adventure to Florida for 8 weeks back in the Spring of 2017. Follow along as we travel all around the state, visiting the theme parks, exploring different cities and towns, & doing as many different activities as we possibly could all whilst having a rollercoaster of a time!

Retro Orlando - Xanadu: Home of the Future
The future was here in the 80s! Florida's Xanadu, located in Kissimmee on 192, was actually one of three -- the other two were in Gatlinburg, Tennessee and Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. The Xanadu Houses were a series of experimental homes built to showcase examples of computers and automation in the home in the United States. The Kissimmee Xanadu, designed by Roy Mason, was the most popular, and at its peak was attracting 1000 visitors every day. The Xanadu Houses were notable for being built with polyurethane insulation foam rather than concrete, for easy, fast, and cost-effective construction. Take a look back at Xanadu: Home of the Future!
