Sidmouth is a town situated on the English Channel coast in Devon, South West England, 14 miles east-southeast of Exeter.
Sidmouth’s Connaught Gardens, at the bottom of Peak Hill, are a beautiful way to enjoy the surrounding Jurassic coastline.

Sidmouth in the county of Devon is a very popular place for visitors as can be seen in the video. The video also has scenes in the Connaught Gardens, but because they were filmed in September the gardens are not at there best. It also shows the start of the Tour of Britain cycle race Sidmouth to Haytor Dartmoor.

Surprised that the Connaught Gardens were open and also FREE to visit.
It seems that everywhere worth visiting has a price tag these days.

Sidmouth Festival, Silver Anniversary Opening, Part 1
Footage from the 25th Sidmouth International Folk Festival in Sidmouth, England, 6 August 1979. Nibs Matthews introduces the groups as they parade onto Connaunt Gardens. The footage has been divided into various parts which will be uploaded onto my Youtube channel as I complete the editing.
