The Hungarian Parliament Building, also known as the Parliament of Budapest after its location, is the seat of the National Assembly of Hungary, a notable landmark of Hungary and a popular tourist destination in Budapest. It is situated in Kossuth Square, in the Pest side of the city and on the banks of the Danube. It is currently the largest building in Hungary. It was designed by Hungarian architect Imre Steindl in neo-Gothic style and opened in 1902.
The Parliament Building is built in the Gothic Revival style; it has a symmetrical façade and a central dome. The dome is Renaissance Revival architecture. Also from inside the parliament is symmetrical and thus has two absolutely identical parliament halls of which one is used for politics, the other for guided tours. It is 268 m (879 ft) long and 123 m (404 ft) wide. Its interior includes 10 courtyards, 13 passenger and freight elevators, 27 gates, 29 staircases and 691 rooms (which includes more than 200 offices). With its height of 96 m (315 ft), it is one of the two tallest buildings in Budapest, along with Saint Stephen's Basilica. The number 96 refers to the nation's millennium, 1896, and the conquest of the later Kingdom of Hungary in 896.

Vajdahunyad Castle - Budapest, Hungary
Vajdahunjad castle, is a castle in the City Park of Budapest, Hungary. It was built in 1896 as part of the Millennial Exhibition which celebrated the 1,000 years of Hungary, since the Hungarian Conquest of the Carpathian Basin in 895.
The castle was designed by Ignác Alpár, to feature copies of several landmark buildings, from different parts the Kingdom of Hungary, especially the Hunyad castle in Transylvania, now in Romania. The different architectural styles represent the different eras in the history of Hungary: Romanesque for the age of the Arrpad dynasty, Gothic for the many other Hungarian royal houses, and the Renaissance and Baroque styles for the period of the Habsburg family.
Originally, it was made from cardboard and wood, but it became so popular that it was rebuilt from stone and brick between 1904 and 1908. Today, it houses the Museum of Hungarian Agriculture, the biggest agricultural museum in Europe. The Museum opened its doors in 1897, even before the permanent building was fully complete.
The museum is accessed via a monumental staircase which brings you to the first floor staging eight permanent exhibitions. Guests can learn about animal husbandry, forestry, fishing, Hungary's wine industry, and much more. A visit also gives you a chance to admire the beautiful interior including a reconstruction of the Knights' Hall of the Hunyad castle.
The statue of the chronicler Anonyimus, made by Miklós Ligeti, is also displayed in the castle court. Anonyimus lived in the 12th century, his true identity is unknown, but he was a notary of Béla III of Hungary, who wrote the chronicle Deeds of the Hungarians.
In front of the amazing Chapel of Jak, is the statue of Ignác Darányi, who was a Hungarian politician and served as Minister of Agriculture twice.
The castle contains a statue of Bela Lugosi, as well, who was a Hungarian-American actor famous for portraying Count Dracula in the original 1931 film.
And, for the end, there was the bronze statue of Grof Károlyi Shándor, sitting on a granite bench with his hat and some books next to him. Grof Károlyi was Hungarian politician, founder of the hospital of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
After my short visit to Vajdahunjad castle, the amazing building and art complex, I realize that I must come back and spend more time in exploring and just relax: at this place. Perhaps, that might be some other story..

Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn (1995) - GDI #9 Budapest, Hungary - C&C Gold Walkthrough
Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn (1995) - GDI #9 Budapest, Hungary - C&C Gold Walkthrough Episode 29
Welcome to my Let's Play of Westwood Studios' Command & Conquer. In 1992 Westwood released Dune II, the first ever Real Time Strategy game. The success of Dune II lead them to believe there was a future for this genre and so they set to work developing their own IP and expanding on the gameplay of their first RTS. The working title for this new game was Tiberian Dawn. In 1995 Westwood Studios released the first installment in the franchise they would become best known for, Command & Conquer. As more games were added to the series the original game would go on to be referred to by its development title, Tiberian Dawn.
In Command & Conquer the story follows the events of the First Tiberium War. In 1995 a meteorite crashes on earth bringing with it a new element, the titular Tiberium. Tiberium had remarkable properties, leaching from the ground precious metals and other valuable minerals and bringing them to the surface. These Tiberium crystals could then be easily collected and processed to gain access to the valuable elements within. The Brotherhood of Nod, an ancient and secret society, appears on the world stage and reveals they have advanced knowledge of Tiberium harvesting. By partnering with the disenfranchised third-world they are able to quickly spread their influence and grow in power. Nod is fast becoming a new superpower and to deal with the threat they pose the UN forms the Global Defence Initiative (GDI) to combat them. When Nod is linked to several terrorist attacks in Europe, the UN declares open war on Nod and GDI is tasked with eliminating them.
Command & Conquer was released on August 31st 1995 and was followed up by an expansion “The Covert Operations” the following year. A second expansion was developed into a full retail release and released in 1996 as Command & Conquer: Red Alert. This would serve as a prequel to Tiberian Dawn, taking place 50 years earlier. In the original game the player can choose between the two factions, each having their own campaign of a dozen missions. At several points in the story there are branching paths to choose from, the end result being a total of 20+ missions per faction.
There are no difficulty settings in Command & Conquer. The current plan is to play through the entire game as well as all possible alternate missions. I have music disabled for my playthrough but have added in Frank Klepacki’s incredible soundtrack during the editing process. I will be alternating between the Nod and the GDI campaigns with a new mission posted each day at 1pm UTC.
I am playing nyerguds’ Command & Conquer Gold: Project 1.06. This fan patch of the CD release copy of Command & Conquer allows the game to run on modern systems as well as fixing several bugs in the original game. There are no gameplay changes so the challenge remains the same. The main quality of life improvement is the increased resolution that Command & Conquer can now be played at. Because the game relies on 2D sprites however, increasing the resolution too much can result in the game assets being so small that it becomes unplayable. I’ve chosen what I think is a happy middleground at 720p. This Let’s Play is played on my PC (i7 8600K, GTX 1060 6GB), video recorded with OBS, audio recorded with a Blue Yeti microphone and edited in Lightworks.
This is my second Let’s Play on YouTube so it is still early days for my channel. For the next few months my plan is to upload Westwood Studios games at 1pm daily and id Software games at 2pm daily. I’ll also have the occasional third video. There may be a brief gap between Tiberian Dawn and The Covert Operations where I squeeze in another Westwood Studios game but those plans might change. As I'm still very new to YouTube I'd welcome any feedback that'll help me improve my videos. Hope you enjoy the video. Thanks.

TOP 15 SIGHTS - BUDAPEST ????⛴????
Budapest is the largest city in Hungary and one of the best cities to photograph. It is bisected by the Danube River, connected by the 19th century Chain bridge that connects the hilly Buda district to the flat Pest side.
Budapest is noted for its architecture, including numerous art nouveau buildings lining the Danube and boulevards, old fashioned cafes and elegant bath houses.
Here we will tour the city and cover the top places to photograph.

Trinity Square is home to the 13th Century St. Matthias Cathedral and Fishermen's Bastion, which offer panoramic views of the city. The Matthias Church and the Fishermen's bastion are the most beloved sights in Budapest.
7. Fishermen's Bastion 2:44
On the top of the old fortress walls, the Fishermen’s bastion was constructed between 1895-1902. It is named after the fishermen’s guild because according to customs in the middle ages this guild was in charge of defending this part of the castle wall. As a matter of fact it has never had a defending function. Done in neo-gothic style, the seven towers symbolize the seven chieftains, who conquered the land for the Hungarians. The Fishermen’s bastion greatly contributes to the cityscape and offers a breathtaking panorama on the Pest side.

The iconic bridge spanning the Danube.

Budapest at the turn of the 20th century - Budapest a századfordulón
This video is a tribute to the beauty of Budapest our Nation's Capital. The current character of the city was developed mainly during the 19th century until the Millennium Celebrations in 1896. On the old postcards you can see the city without smog and traffic jams in its original magnificence accompanied with the music composed by Ferenc Erkel.
The history of Budapest goes back to the ancient times. In the area of the Gellérthegy and Tabán remains of Celtic villages were found. After the Hungarian Conquest in 896 Árpád and his first troops settled in here. King Béla IV ordered to build the first castle of Buda in the 13th century. In 1361 it became the capital of Hungary. King Matthias had his famous Renaissance court in the Castle of Buda during the 15th century. In 1867 the age of the Compromise Buda and Pest became the twin capital of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire with Vienna. In 1873 Buda and Pest were officially merged with the third part, Óbuda (Ancient Buda). At the turn of the 20th century were the golden ages of the city, the most beautiful buildings have already existed, but after the 2nd World War they had to be reconstructed. You can find some shocking pictures about the destruction:
