PRESCOTT, Ariz. (March 2017) Hillcrest at Forest Trails announces model home openings for its new single-family residential community in Prescott, Arizona. The grand opening is scheduled for April 19, 2017.
Considered the “crown jewel” of the Forest Trails project, Hillcrest is ideally located minutes from downtown Prescott. Yet, it retains its pine forest setting and offers the best of mountain scenery, while providing easy access to town amenities. States Nick Malouff of Northstar Builders.
Located on 17 acres, the new community offers 44 exclusive home sites. Spec homes are under construction and one home is completed. Site development, including infrastructure, is also in place. This location is unique due to its proximity to town and the spectacular mountain vistas available to all home sites. Over 10 individually designed floor plans have been created, each oriented to the special views. Home prices start in the mid $500,000’s.

Turley Trail Prescott, AZ Mountain Biking Arizona Prescott Circle Trail (PCT)
Turley Trail is one of the original trails of the Prescott Circle trail (PCT). Although the Badger Mountain trail has been built to provide an alternate/bypass to Turley (and Boyscout-126), the Turley trail is still part of the Prescott Circle trail. When I do the circle trail, I typically ride the original Turley/Boyscout-126 option. Turley is a rare mix of equal part uphill/downhill in both directions, chunk, not as much Prescott “Kitty-litter,” good flow, and less than typical switch-back(s). A great old-school Prescott trail. It’s likely rated black because of the long and sometimes steep climbs; as in plural. Although not as much in the technical sense, it is a good workout and the downhills are long. Like all Prescott trails, traction can be dictated by the season. Boyscout/126 and Badger Mountain trails can be directly accessed from Turley trail. Turley is approximately 2.5 miles each way. There is free parking at the north trailhead. Have a great ride! - goMTB prescottAZ

Bald Mountain / Smith Ravine Trail #297, Prescott National Forest, Arizona Hike
Hiking Smith Ravine Trail #297 from Walker Rd. to Spruce Mountain Rd., then following a transmission line up a cat claw-infested gulley to the west slope of Bald Mountain, near Walker, AZ, in the Prescott National Forest. Descended a steep, but less painful, spur down to Trail #297, then back to the trailhead. Nice fall colors, with some very rich gold.

Rim Road / FR 300 (highlights)
(If you love exploring Arizona, don't forget to subscribe!)
There's no question that Rim Road (Forest Road 300) is one of the best drives in Arizona. It follows the edge of the Mogollon Rim (the southern edge of the Colorado Plateau) and offers breathtaking panoramas that make you feel like you're on the edge of the world. When you add mile after mile of postcard-worthy aspens and evergreens, as well as a variety of lakes nearby, you've got a perfect home base for your next adventure.
Rim Road is also part of the Heart of Arizona overland loop, which passes through the Tonto, Prescott, Coconino, and Kaibab National Forests.

2020 Whiskey Off Road 50 Proof - Copper Basin Rd FR53 - 4 way Prescott, Arizona Mountain Biking AZ
This is footage of Copper Basin Road from the intersection of it and FR53 to the 4-way intersection of it, Thumb Butte road (373) and FR9402C. It is typically a route for the Whiskey Off Road Mountain bike race held in Prescott every spring. Up until 2019 it was part of the 30 proof and the 50 proof courses. It is now only part of the 50 proof course (50 miles). Timeline segment(s) 1:00 to 6:29 (going west to east) is the section of Copper Basin Rd/FR53 that is Whiskey Off Road 50 proof race course. Although a dirt road, this section of Copper Basin offers great views of Skull Valley and some nice quiet shaded pine riding. It is approximately 1.5 miles one way of dirt road.
