Papa Ioane Uri- Rest in peace

A tribute to our papa Ioane Uri who past away in Rarotonga on Saturday 12th of January 2019. He was brought back to his island of Aitutaki, Cook islands and buried in his village of Vaipae in front of the family home.


COMMENTARY

The generosity of the Cook Island people including those abroad were beyond incredible. Most especially among the people of Aitutaki of whom I can find no place to begin telling of the immeasurable kindness and generosity she has bestowed upon our family, most especially towards our grandma; mama Margaret Ioane Uri.

Papa was truly honoured.

'Greatful, thankful and blessed' fail miserably to describe our sincere appreciation. Most importantly above all else, we thank God our Heavenly Father for who He is, His love and comfort and His son, our Lord Jesus Christ to whom papa loved and served.

We will always love you papa... Rest in Love and Peace until we meet again on that Glorious morning.

Arutanga CICC Tour 2008

8th Monday, September 2008
Arutanga CICC Tour Group parted to Melbourne, Victoria in search of help and support to raise funds in aid of the repairs of Ziona Tapu Church back in Aitutaki, Cook Islands. There was a concert night hosted in Melbourne at Monash Uniting Church Parish, Clayton North.
Majority came to perform items and donate envelopes, some in the form of speech with envelopes. This way of fundraise was how the CICC and all the Cook Island people knew of. Regarding the target of their tour, safe to say that the blessing was indeed poured upon the Tour Group and successful. Rev. Tuvaine Glassie alongside his committee spearheaded the Tour with the support of the members that followed. Ziona Tapu today is a sight to see thanks to these hardworking Group of people.

Teretere Mapu Hampton Park '18

The teretere mapu (youth) of Hampton Park Cook Islands Christian church (CICC) being hosted by the parish of Frankston-Berwick CICC during the annual CICC traditon of inter-parish visitations.
The youth present their memorised Bible verses, lead the congregation in hymns and spur each other on in Christian fellowship upon the enduring foundations of Cook Island culture, language and Christian faith.

CICC Omoka & Palmerston ekalesia in Melbourne

CICC Springvale, Reservoir, Dandenong and Clayton ekalesia hosting the groups with a huge lunch.
