Another shopping strip, including the post office, is located in Ramsgate on Rocky Point Road, near the intersection of Ramsgate Road.

20130606 Sydney Airport to Bankstown via Georges River in the R66
This video is a passengers eye view of the journey flying from Sydney to Bankstown along one of the prescribed heli routes in the jet turbine powered Robinson R66. This route is known as Georges River 4. After leaving Sydney Airport the route takes you along the edge of Botany Bay adjacent to Brighton-Le-Sands and Ramsgate Beach before turning up the Georges River over Captain Cook Bridge, then Tom Ugly Bridge and onto Bankstown Airport.
Its a shame that this route can't be used for normal scenic charter flights cos it really is a spectacular view.

Today, I was back in Botany Bay landbased (western-side groynes rockwalls etc.) as my previous video showcasing how trevally can be a viable species to semi-reliably target in the winter was well-received. It took all but the very first cast of the day: I was even commentating on the cast! The target species as most definitely the culprit and I lost this one after getting reefed very suddenly and unexpectedly. In my mind, I was regretting on using such light leader in a place where I was likely to lose pretty much every fish I was going to hook up to due to the surrounded heavy structure and raging currents.
I did get even when I out-muscled a smaller model silver trevally from the reefy structure on 6lb leader. That made it all worthwhile! You can see the fish zipping around and still green mere centimetres from the rocks. It will probably be a big task to land a big model out of here on that gear but guaranteed that it will be an adrenaline rush when it happens!

Botany Bay trevally - Ramsgate/Sans Souci
This is from autumn so I'm a little behind on posting. I tried to make the most of fishing the low tide and spent some time getting a feel for shore jigging. I failed miserably so swicthed to fishing soft plastics off the groynes.
It's always a tough session when fishing through the middle of the day but managed to snag my first trevally on lure.
Rod: 2-4kg, 7 foot soft plastics rod
Line: 4lb braid and 4lb leader
Reel: 1000 size
Lure: 1/16th jig head with 2 white curl tail.
Also, I'm trying to work out what I'm doing with music so it's going to have a different feel.
