✓ Can you believe that in this day & age you can still buy a delicious freshly made Vada Pav for only £1.00 in London!!!

If you sit in Shree Krishna Vada Pav (S.K.V.P.) restaurant you'd be forgiven if you imagined or thought that it is a hotel or stall (or Lari) somewhere on the busy, bustling streets or beaches of Mumbai (Bombay) in India - astonishingly these guys are making these authentic Indian snacks in the heart of Proper London - making them freshly cooked to order and serving them piping hot within a matter of minutes.........delicious restaurant quality food; but at affordable street food prices!!!

A Vada Pav is Mumbai’s version of the great British Chip Butty, at S.K.V.P. their Vada Pav consists of a Bateta Vada in a soft bun (pav) with a squirt of the chef's special coriander & chilli sauce + a squirt of their Tamarind (Imli) sauce + a sprinkling of S.K.V.P's very own red Sukhi (dry) chutney powder & then served up with a fried green chilli on the side.

Vada Pav is an ubiquitous and popular street food in India. The main recipe ingredients for which are: boiled, mashed & spiced potato, which are then rolled & shaped into balls & then dipped in a lightly spiced gram flour (besan) batter & then deep fried until crispy & golden. The fried vada is then placed inside a soft bread roll (pav) the pav having been pre-spread with green & tamarind (imli) chutneys + a generous sprinkle of a Sukhi (dry) Garlic & Coconut chutney.

Vada Pav or Wada Pau however you say it ,or spell it, it is utterly delicious................these guys make it look very easy, but it takes many years of skilful practice to make a perfect Vada Pav like you see here.
