Day Trip to Staniel Cay, Bahamas
This was an unreal experience. Staniel Cay is located in The Exumas in Bahamas. We traveled 100 miles from where we were staying to hang out with the pigs and jump in the cave.
The song is Hope - Tobu
I do not own or produce in any way the audio used in this video.
This entire video was shot and filmed with a GoPro Hero 4

Gulf Stream Adventures! Offshore Bahamas to Beaufort NC | Distant Shores
We're leaving the Bahamas using the Gulf Stream to make speed northbound.
02:05 Using the Gulf Stream current
04:20 Catching a big Mahi-Mahi
09:16 Leaving the dock using the current and wind to help
This is our last sail on the amazing Bahamas shallow banks as we're preparing for the passage north to Beaufort and the Chesapeake Bay. For the first time we're going to sail right up the Gulf Stream and hope to use the current to add to our speed.
We catch a large Mahi-Mahi, bake bread, and set up the sails for fast downwind passaging with the current pushing us up to 11 knots.
When we pull in to Beaufort North Carolina we demonstrate using the current and wind to help get out of the dock in a tight situation.

Glacier Bay 2740 performance review by BoatTest.com
The new Glacier Bay 2740 Renegade is a complete redesign of the popular 2640. The 2740 has more cruising amenities, more room at the helm, a complete redesign of the forward bow section, and sleeker lines. The forward seating is built-in to improve seating ergonomics. More space (length and width) was added to the helm area for more comfortable wrap-around seating
and improved access to the bow and stern. Relax on the luxurious helm bench seat with flip-up bolsters or the optional flush-mounted folddown aft seats.
The wet bar is standard and we have options for a refrigerator drawer as well as a grill. The new 2740 has over 600 quarts of insulated cooler/fishbox storage. You'll be the envy of the avid fisherman and the best entertainer on the
canal.
2 Uncovered Facts About Staniel Cay & How Solar Panels Work by Sailing JAEKA, week 10
Like never before, this place (Staniel cay) has few uncovered facts which made me do some researches. After several attempts i understood i will not find the truth by myself. I was able to find only versions and suggestions. The first one is about Big Major Cay and a beach with swimming pigs, how those pigs got there? The second one is about Thunderball grotto, who got discovered and when the part of the rock got cracked? Nevertheless this place is covered with some unknown moments i was impressed with its nature. There are only 118 full-time residences living down there and of course this fact helps to keep the beauty of the island. While walking Staniel Cay's roads, i mentioned chickens, roosters, and chick all over. Locals grow all of them at homes mostly cages-free. One more fact that impressed me - people are not trying to change the landscape. Grass and trees left untouched, adding only colorful flowers to missing spots. And also, there are only golfcarts on roads.
Following your comments, we decided to explain where we are getting electricity from, staying at anchor since three month. Jack gave a detailed explanation how our solar panels work and how to calculate the power you need.
We also got a lovely sailing passage to George town. Gown there we had to extend some papers and we anchored right next to lake Victoria. Our auto pilot did not want to start at the beginning and Jack and i made shifts controlling JAEKA manually. Actually it was my first experience navigation under sails without auto pilot. Jack said i passed my exam :)

Long Island is another cruising hot spot, but on a much smaller scale than George Town, Exuma. The people are extremely kind, the island is full of adventures to explore, and it's home to (according to the Bahamas Website) the deepest blue hole and the largest cave.
Exploring by car is the best way and luckily we had a viewer reach out and hook us up! So grab your shopping bags, some snorkel gear and join us on a Long Island adventure.

Couple Tries to Stop Cruise Ship From Leaving Port
A couple frantically tried to stop a cruise ship that was leaving without them in the Bahamas after they turned up 45 minutes late to board the vessel. The couple was on a Royal Caribbean ship on Feb. 15 when they actually missed the boat. The unidentified man and woman were supposed to get back to the ship by 3:30 p.m., which is the last call for passengers, but when they showed up at the dock late the door was already closed. Video captured the pair looking dejected at the ship leaves them behind.
BahamaBlueTV: SAND Behind the Scenes on Iguana Beach
Bahama Blue airs in Canada on LOVE NATURE Wednesdays!
Beyond the white sand beaches and the idyllic turquoise water, the 3,000 islands and islets of the Bahamas are scattered across nearly 170,000 square kilometers of the Atlantic Ocean.
In this episode we looked at SAND as source of food, shelter and camouflage. Local Rock Iguanas also use the sand burrows for nests. In this behind the scenes, the team sets up camp on a remote Cay to film them.
About the Series:
Captured in 4k cinematography, combined with intimate aerials, extraordinary macro photography and signature ‘tide lapses’ Bahama Blue is this Bahamas beyond the beaches. Explore worlds where everything is eating…or being eaten, but fierce competition gives way to playful and funny creatures, just staking their claim. This a magical place where plants are sprinkled with shimmering dust and seahorses feed, almost without fear.
Dive the amazing caves and blue holes to find biological anomalies who thrive in dark waters saturated with hydrogen sulfide gas and low in oxygen. Penetrate the tangle of Mangroves growing from a salty swamp that houses a nursery of fish and invertebrates until they are big enough, and smart enough, to compete on the coral reefs. Visit the beautiful beaches the Bahamas are famous for, shaped from sand flats in and out of the water: so ubiquitous, that creatures have evolved to hide in plain sight to survive. Experience day and night on a coral reef colony, and find out who is best hidden away when the sun goes down and the sharks come out. Discover the Bahamas from its tiny thimble jellyfish to the gigantic sperm whale and all the creatures in between.

S2E8 Not the best day on the sailboat... stormy 29 knot wind The Boat Life sailing travel vlog
Our trip to the Bahamas has definitely not gone to plan. Boaters know that the plan often changes and sometimes gets completely thrown out the window. After personal attempts to repair the engine we decided we needed to return to our home dock to get some help. The trip from Venice to Longboat Key proved to be the bumpiest Stormy leg yet. With the engine running at ONLY half a knot and wind surges of 30 plus knot winds with sustained 29 knots, oh and add on top 5 foot seas in the bay! We had to throw an anchor and wait out the storm on the dock. A short but memorable trip on the ICW.
This is The Boat Life. Nic Morganti and Melissa Auman are moving onto a sailboat. The plan was sell everything, buy a boat, live on a
boat, and travel and explore the Caribbean and the world while living aboard! The uniform is boardshorts and bikinis. Simple plan, but lots to learn and do along the way. Join our adventure as we sail away on sv Dodi, our Island Packet IP27, live on a sailboat, and explore life aboard. This is our sailing travel vlog The Boat Life.
