A former pitcher at Cal State Fullerton, Thomas Eshelman was a Triple-A All-Star in 2017 and uses his 88-91 mph fastball extremely well by working both sides of the plate and teasing both a cutter and a sinker to keep hitters off balance despite not having overpowering stuff. In this video, watch every single pitch he threw for Lehigh Valley in a six-inning start he made on July 17 against Gwinnett, during which he allowed three runs on six hits and a walk with six strikeouts.
