Highly recommend the Chocolaterie & Ice creamery cafe, they have very nice desserts be it ice cream, cakes, mousse etc!
Our favourite restaurant would be Meletos, in Yarra Valley, apart from the amazing view, and good food they have their brewery tour too! be sure to book it in advance else you would miss it like us!
We bought most of our wines from Oakridge Winery, they really have the best dessert wine I've ever tasted! SOOOOOO worth to go there~!

When you think of Melbourne’s Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges you find yourself in lush landscapes and eating at tables piled high with quality food and wine from incredible artisan bakers, producers and farmers.
This is a region you can really ‘taste’.
It’s fitting then that the region is home to a delicious and diverse array of specialty providore stores showcasing the best of our seasonal produce and culinary craftsmanship. You will be spoilt for choice as you browse the shelves and abundantly stocked cabinets that tempt you at every turn. There’s always something new to try.
The region is a powerhouse for producing quality berries and orchard fruit, that has inspired skilled jam and condiment makers. This is a place where traditional techniques, and the modern palate meet.
So come and Experience it for yourself…
Where dedicated genuine butchers are smoking locally farmed meats, trout and salmon…..
Where artisan cheese made on the farm and loved all over the world…..
Literally feel like ‘a kid in a candy store’ as you watch the busy chocolate makers create the stunning temptations that melt in your mouth…..
Our Providore’s are driven by flavour, quality and sharing this extraordinary region with those that come for the taste. When you inject love, passion with authentic craftsmanship, you get great food. It’s as simple as that.
Find yourself at a table, on a picnic rug or in front of the fire with produce from Melbourne’s Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges. It won’t disappoint.

Find Yourself - Melbourne's Yarra Valley & Dandenong Ranges
Find Yourself is the latest campaign for the Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges, stunning destinations just one hour’s drive east of Melbourne.
The evocative imagery invites people to explore these regions and uncover the rich tapestry of products, places and faces that abound across the Yarra Valley and throughout the Dandenong Ranges.
Along with the new campaign imagery, destination websites have also been launched which enable the discovery of trails and experiences; a quick four hour city escape, a romantic getaway or the ultimate long weekend for the food and wine lover.
Imagine an early morning balloon flight, rising through the mists of the valley and seeing the beauty unfold beneath you, followed by a close encounter with nature of another kind, upfront and personal with a platypus at Healesville Sanctuary. Lunch on the deck of TarraWarra, wine and cider experiences along the Coldstream trail and a final stop at the chocolaterie for a much anticipated sweet treat on the way back to your home away from home for the weekend, perhaps one of many beautiful bed and breakfast the area offers.
If it’s the hills you’re after, then head up the Dandenong Ranges on the scenic winding roads and discover the wonderful villages and communities scattered amongst the trees. Artist studios, tea rooms, antiques and crafts and beautiful cool climate gardens are all part of the discovery.
All these experiences and more feature on a number of illustrated trail maps that help visitors plan their trip. Whether it’s James Halliday’s Handpicked Yarra Valley trail, the Cider and Ale Trail, a Cool Climate Garden Trail or the Madden’s Lane Winery Trail, each path provides a rich experience for visitors with old and new discoveries just waiting to be found.
The Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges are dynamic regions with wonderful local operators who are constantly evolving the visitor experience. Whether it’s breathtaking scenery, absorbing culinary adventures, making your own dessert, creating your own cheese, getting involved in the beer brewing process or just spending time up close and personal with nature, there are many reasons to revisit these destinations right on Melbourne’s door step. Some of the new venues include:
Royalty and refinement at Coombe Cottage, the home of Dame Nellie Melba, with magnificent gardens from W.R. Guilfoyle, the same designer of the Royal Botanic Gardens
GelAperia is not only serving some of the best natural, house-made gelato in Victoria, owner Davydd Marrie is also hosting hands-on gelato making classes
The Independent in Gembrook is a converted mechanics warehouse, now serving delicious Argentinian dishes by highly-respected 5 star chef, Mauro Callegari
Napoleone Brewery and Ciderhouse - a working microbrewery where visitors can fully experience the beer making process behind the scenes from a third generation brewing family
Cake-making with best-selling author and pastry chef, Alison Thompson at Stones of the Yarra Valley is a delightful way to spend an afternoon, before sharing your freshly made cake with friends and family
Hands-on cooking classes with Locavore Studios. Learn to make cheese, design a dinner party or make the perfect martini with special guests Four Pillars Gin. Classes vary and include local produce
Along with the new, old favourites continue to provide an exceptional way to escape city life, with ongoing investment preserving the beauty of the region, new recipes and additional experiences including:
New head chef Zoe Birch serving exquisite food at Healesville Hotel’s renowned Quince dining room
Exploring the beautiful gardens and villages in the iconic Dandenong Ranges
Appreciating world-class wines with lunch at Oakridge Wines
Relaxing and taking in the view on the new expansive deck at TarraWarra Estate
Or sampling the wide range of specially-made beers available at Hargreaves Hill Brewery

Yarra Valley's Coldstream Trail
…eat, drink, passion and produce…
The ten stops along the Yarra Valley’s Coldstream Trail have been carefully selected for their diversity, passion to their craft, and welcoming attitude.
Been on a food and wine trail? This is different. Why? Well, did you know this trail includes kid friendly activities, has two microbreweries, one of the most spectacular gardens in Victoria, or that Charlie Chaplin fell into a pool here? And that’s just the beginning...
Yarra Valley’s Coldstream Trail offers a triangles slice of diversity, accessibility and a quality that sets it apart. That quality is called passion. And it’s found in the aromas of an oak-laden pinot; in local produce that has been fused in creative and mouth-watering dishes; and in the sweetness of new season fruits you picked yourself accompanied by hand made farmhouse cheeses. Add to this spectacular vistas of rolling countryside and distant mountains at every turn.
Preservation of the trail’s historic roots – firmly embedded in its heritage properties, cellar doors and famed vineyards – is approached with similar heart and soul. The oldest vines in the region provide a rustic setting to drink in times gone-by, peeling back yet another layer of the trail’s remarkable diversity.
Activities for kids and a gourmet break for adults, all in a short 13km loop. On Melbourne’s doorstep and just five minutes from Lilydale, this unique trail, showcases the very best of the Yarra Valley.
Yarra Valley Gateway Estate - Indoor U-pick & Gourmet Farm Gate

The indoor strawberry patch means self-pick, sun-ripened strawberries are waiting to fill your basket, whatever the weather. The shelves are full of local produce from the Yarra Valley. On the way out, grab a picnic hamper.

YARRA VALLEY WINERY VLOG (DAY 2 OF 3) | 15-06-2019
Join Robyn and I on a Yarra Valley Winery adventure (Part 2) where we will visit some of the regions best vineyards.
We start our day by driving from our accommodation (Art at Linden Gate) in the Yarra Valley to Coombe Winery. We start with coffees before the wine tasting.
Afterwards, we discovered a small cheese tasting place on the side of the road, about a 2 second drive from Oakridge. I surprised Robyn by taking her to Oakridge for afternoon lunch.
Toward the end of the day, we visited the local Gin distillery (four pillars) before returning to our accommodation for our final night in the Yarra Valley.
This is part 2 of 3 :-)
