MELBOURNE CENTRAL COOPS SHOT TOWER AUSTRALIA 4K
Coop's Shot Tower is a shot tower located in the heart of the Melbourne CBD, Australia. It was completed in 1889 and is 50 metres high. The historic building was saved from demolition in 1973 and was incorporated into Melbourne Central complex in 1991 underneath an 84 m-high conical glass roof.
Coop's Shot Tower is 9 storeys high, and has 327 steps to the top. The tower produced six tonnes of shot weekly up until 1961, when the demand for the lead shot dwindled, because of new firearm regulations.[citation needed] The tower was operated by the Coops family, who also managed Clifton Hill Shot Tower.[8][9]
A museum called the Shot Tower Museum has been set up inside of the tower at the back of R.M. Williams and DJI (D1 Store)[ a tenant in the tower.

D4 CQJTU Melb Uni Tour Feb 2016
Today we visited the Queen, Victoria Market, the heart and soul of Melbourne. Eat, shop, explore and discover our way through its iconic food halls and heritage Sheds where the banter is as fresh as the produce. There are loads of fun for just soaking up the atmosphere of the largest open-air market in the Southern Hemisphere.
Contained underneath the Melbourne Central's massive glass cone sits the Coop's Shot Tower which was built on the site in 1888. Numerous lovely shops kill our time easily and nobody came back with empty hands 8-)
In the afternoon session, Mr Edward inspired us to do lot of critical thinking and brain storms about the cultural differences (conflicts) between China and Australia we observed these days, and we had a white-hot debate in English.

Shot! (1940)
Titles read: SHOT!
Melbourne, Australia.
General views of the lead shot factory of W Coop. From the top of the high tower we look out over Melbourne and see the spires of St Patrick's Cathedral and the Public Library. Various shots at this family run business show the process of lead shot manufacture, including the liquid lead being poured down the shot tower to make the round pellets. Several shots show men and boys taking part in a clay pigeon shooting contest in a field.
