BCI - Copenhagen Main Library, Denmark
Copenhagen's main library first opened in 1913 and has a history of being up-to-date. This reputation is being stepped up a notch. The library is in the middle of a large refurbishment process, inside and out. The interior solution is the result of close cooperation between designers, developers and IT experts. The result, a state of the art library with technology integrated into the shelving. For example, touch-screens in the end panels and LED lights integrated into display shelving.

Dokk1 Library
'Dokk1 or Dokken is a building, public library and culture center in Aarhus, Denmark. It is situated on Hack Kampmanns Plads in the city center by the waterfront next to the Custom House. Dokk1 is part of the much larger development project Urban Mediaspace Aarhus, jointly financed by Aarhus Municipality and Realdania for 2.1 billion DKK. It is designed by schmidt hammer lassen architects and Kristine Jensen, with construction managed by NCC AB. Construction broke ground 8 June 2011 and the building was inaugurated four years later on 20 June 2015.
The name of the building was determined by a public contest held in the autumn of 2012. The combination of letters and number can be pronounced as dokken, dok én or dok ét, meaning The Dock or Dock One in English. The term references the location on the former industrial harbor by the waterfront.'

We continue our journey around Copenhagen with Day 5 where we rented bikes and did a little bit of shopping in the main areas of Copenhagen - Strøget. Had breakfast in Royal Smushi Cafe which houses original danish sweet pastries, visited Hay House and got a lot of goodies as well as dropped by Acne Studios. The SA (sales associate) in Acne Studios told us about an Acne Archive which sells discounted seasonal pieces and sample pieces. I think it is definitely worth the visit if you are into Acne Studios. (mind you - I am not the type of person to find the right things from outlets but I can tell you Acne Archives is amazing!) Next stop was Superkilen which was such a cool place! For the rest of the day, we also visited Design Museum Denmark and had dinner in The Union Kitchen. Thank you for watching :)
