The 2018 Copper Coast Geopark Literary Weekend
Now in it’s second year the Copper Coast Geopark Literary Weekend is a celebration of creativity and culture so much so that we struggled to fit it into a weekend! The exciting and interesting line up of mostly free events include, Book Art, Costumes, Board Games, Drama, Music, Poetry, Six Word Story and the very popular Copper Coast Geopark Book Fair! The celebrations kick off on November 1st in the Copper Coast Geopark Visitor Centre, Bunmahon, Co. Waterford with a book club. An evening of music and poetry, Copper Coast Geopark Visitor Centre, Friday 2nd, 8pm, €10.

Also at this years book fair their will be a chance to learn about the ERDF co-funded Atlantic Geotourism route project of which the Copper Coast Geopark is a part by visiting an information stand about all of the other destinations on the trail and their unique contributions to this awe-inspiring route!
The Copper Coast is not just for summer it’s a hive of activity over the winter too, don’t take our word for it come and see for yourself! The Copper Coast Geopark is a UNESCO Global Geopark, a designation based around sustainable development of communities around areas of significant geological interest and importance.

The Copper Coast Map, Guide and Film launch by Minister Varadkar
Here is the launch speech by the Minister for Tourism Leo Varadkar T.D.of the Copper Coast Map, Guide and Animation Film on January 26th 2014 at The Copper Coast Geopark Visitor Centre. The Map and Guide created by Sean Corcoran of The Art Hand is available for free at The Copper Coast Geopark Visitor Centre in Bunmahon where the new animated film created by Chris Shackleton of D3D can also be viewed along with many more items in their Heritage Exhibition...
