Value Based Marketing - Copperfield Gorge - So Long Stress
Value based marketing is all about providing value in your marketing rather than being pushy and trying to get people to join your business. Most beginning marketers make the mistake of spamming their link everywhere in the hopes of getting referrals. This flat out just does not work. With value based marketing you are giving something first rather than trying to take something first. Guide To The Gulf - Episode 11 - Einasleigh
Einasleigh was established in 1900 and sits on the Eastern edge of the Newcastle Range, on the old Chillagoe to Forsayth railway and beside the banks of the Copperfield River. Once a Copper mining town, it is set among some unusual scenery with flat top hills rising out of the grasslands.
The Einasleigh Hotel is a fun stop with friendly locals and a fascinating collection of miniature figurines.
A walk away is the striking Copperfield Gorge, a great photo opportunity. Walk along the top to spot visiting birds along with isolated fish and freshwater crocodiles that make the gorge their home.

Set in the Gulf Savannah country, Undara is as ancient and alluring as the continent itself, the Undara Lava Tubes stand as silent sentinels to our pre-history. Here you can walk in the path of a volcano and sleep cocooned in an antique railway carriage as your dreams connect you with the essence of this timeless land.
It’s a place where you can explore natural geological wonders, enjoy the comforts and hospitality of a unique outback setting and where the local wildlife are as abundant as they are at home in their surroundings. In short, Undara needs to be experienced!

130. Cobbold Gorge, Robin Hood Queensland
Cobbold Gorge Village is the perfect location to stay while planning your guided tour to the amazing Cobbold Gorge.
Access to Cobbold Gorge is from Georgetown in North Queensland on the Savannah Way approx 400kms West from Cairns. From Georgetown head south to Forsyth and from there onto the Cobbold Village.
At the time of our trip there, August 2017, it was approx a 90 minute trip from Georgetown to the Village across dirt roads with some corrugations. However these roads are constantly changing and significant upgrades were being made as we drove through.
The Village has a campground with powered and unpowered sites.
There is an award winning and amazing Infinity Pool with swim up bar overlooking the private dam where you can go kayaking for free.
The bar and restaurant were fabulous and reception provides basic groceries.
The campground area is pet friendly.
There is phone coverage from the bar area and front of reception.
Overall Cobbold Gorge is fantastic and we highly recommend at least 3 nights there.
Cost to stay was $45 powered site for 2 adults plus $10 extra for our adult son making it $55.
Our stay was 3-5th August 2017

Goshen Station Upriver Flight
We took our camper trailer to Camp Kucha at Goshen Station (near Mt Garnet) before xmas 2016. It was a bit windy during the day but the early mornings were almost still.
On the second morning, I took the Phantom FC40 upriver on the Herbert for a look. It was a great flight at about 120m and turned back just over 900m away.
We just watched the first episode of the second series of Survivor which was filmed in Australia and discovered we were camped at the site the Kucha tribe stayed. Explains the name I guess!
Guide To The Gulf - Episode 19 - Gorges and Lava Tubes
Nestled in the Gulf Savannah, the lava tubes at Undara are the longest in the world, formed around 190,000 years ago following a massive volcano eruption which spilled 23 billion cubic metres of lava over the landscape. The famous tubes took shape when the lava flowed along surrounding watercourses, and then drained leaving behind long tunnels of cooled rock.
Copperfield Gorge near Einasleigh was formed as a result of the Copperfield River eroding a channel through the lava around the same time as the Undara Lava Tubes. Over time the roof of the channel has collapsed with the lava flow layers distinctly visible on the gorge’s sheer walls
Cobbold Gorge was formed over a long period of time – 1700 million years. Sand and sediment deposited on the then ocean floor became compressed due to movements in the Earth’s crust – which then began to fracture. The impact of torrential rain from just the past 10,000 wet seasons created the deep gorges and spectacular 30 metre cliffs that are a feature today.

Taken from our visit to Blencoe Falls in mid-December 2015. Spectacular area, and very remote, at 110 kilometres away from the nearest town along a mostly dirt road.
