Lusong coral garden, Coron - Philippines
Dropped on the empty island of Lusong for 2 days, we played Robinson Crusoe and discovered a magnificent coral garden as well as the Lusong shipwreck. What a pleasure to find such of an untouched reef !

Coron Island Hopping: Snorkeling in Kayangan Lake & Coral Garden
The must go itinerary in Palawan Philippines. We went to the local tour, they have included all the places: Kayangan Lake, Twin Peak, Coral Garden, CYC island.
Malwawey Coral Garden, Coron Palawan
Malwawey Coral Garden is a shallow coral garden located in between Banul beach and Atwayan Beach. This is our last destination on our trip and was completely satisfied with a very large area of coral reefs and other marine life.

Day 3 of island hopping in Coron, Palawan, Philippines! We set out again with our tour guide/boat captain/chef Rey for a third day of island exploration. We paid 1,800 pesos for the boat rental and tour as well as 100 pesos per person per site and about 500 pesos for fresh groceries at the market for lunch.
Our favorite site of the day was definitely Banul Beach. The lighting made for amazing views of the ocean glittering in the sunlight. The beach was quiet, and the water was warm. We definitely could have stayed at Banul Beach all day!
After returning to Coron Town we had to check out of Funny Lion Inn and walk up the hill five minutes to Asia Grand View Hotel where we stayed for our last two nights in Coron. Asia Grand View lives up to its name. It has a beautiful view of the bay, and the cozy open air rooftop deck is the perfect place to watch the sun set over the bay.
For dinner we tried Big Mama's. By far they have our favorite fruit smoothies in Coron! For just 60 pesos you can get a delicious fresh coconut, mango, or banana smoothie. All three are fantastic!
We ended the night with a scooter rental for the next day's self-guided tour around Coron. Yay for more adventures!

Coral Garden, Coron, Palawan (Philippines)
As the name of the spot implies, there's a beautiful garden of corals here! I'm really glad that the locals are doing a great job in preserving the underwater beauty of Coron.
Also featured in this video is one fisherman who was seemingly trying to search for nests, which is a key ingredient of the highly expensive Bird's Nest soup (
For centuries, El Nido residents have looked at the harvesting the nests as their livelihood. The nests are highly prized, such that one kilogram can fetch prices of up to 1,000 USD.
This video is about our expedition in Coron, Philippines last December 2019. We snorkeled along a stretch of corals on the coast of Lusong Island. It is called the Lusong Coral Garden. We did a 30-minute snorkeling but the garden can still be seen far and wide. Amazing and beautiful. What a great experience. Thanks to our tour guide Paul Baculpo from Calamian Tours! He did a wonderful job keeping us safe and see/experience more.
