Bar & Restaurant in Bridlington East Yorkshire For Sale
Bridlington, East Yorkshire, England
Advert Ref: 3627
Business Description
Preferred Commercial is delighted to offer for sale this busy seafront bar and restaurant, which was established in 1972 and which has been in our client's careful hands since 2009. The bar is only now being offered to the market due to our client's wish to relocate. The business trades 7 days a week and generates a turnover in the region of £305,000 per annum with a gross profit of 61.64%. Our client offers a wide range of alcohol, including real ales, fine wines and spirits, along with high quality food. We feel the turnover could be further increased by embarking on a modest marketing campaign to promote the business further. The business has a loyal customer base and enjoys much repeat trade. The property is maintained to a high standard and is well furnished with a modern decor. A new owner could, if desired, establish a website advertising the business and services provided. The premises boast a spacious bar and kitchen and we have been advised that our client has recently opened another bar in the basement, which is proving to be successful. This is an ideal opportunity to acquire an already busy bar and restaurant with scope for future development. Early negotiations with Preferred Commercial must come highly recommended.

Dunnington
For other places with the same name, see Dunnington.
Dunnington is a village and civil parish in the City of York and ceremonial county of North Yorkshire, England. The population of the civil parish was 3,230 at the 2011 Census. The village is approximately 4 miles east from York city centre.
Dunnington village was an Anglo-Saxon settlement, and was listed in the 1086 Domesday Book as 'Donniton', which, according to Mills, translates as an 'estate associated with a man called Duna'. The fields around the village became the country's major area for growing chicory.
Between 1913 and 1926 Dunnington was served by passenger trains on the Derwent Valley Light Railway, and the remaining goods-only railway was withdrawn in stages following the Beeching Axe. Steam trains ran to Dunnington on this line between 1977 and 1979, but following the closure of a crop drying facility the last tracks covering the route to York via Murton and Osbaldwick were lifted.
In 2006 Dunnington published a Village Design Statement as part of a national scheme introduced by the Countryside Commission in 1996. This describes the history, visual characteristics and local setting of the village and surrounding landscape. The VDS forms part of the Parish Plan.
Dunnington was the category winner in the small town category of the 2014 Britain in Bloom competition.
The original Victorian village school was demolished, but a doctors' surgery building that sits on the site was built using a complementary construction style and reclaimed materials.
The village has an historic centre, part of which is a conservation area.
According to the 2001 Census, the parish had a population of 3,194. Before 1996 it had been part of the Selby district, and before 1974 the East Riding of Yorkshire.
Dunnington is connected to York by the A1079 York to Hull, and the A166 York to Bridlington roads. The village is on the FirstGroup bus company's number 10 route through York.
A monthly magazine for the village and neighbouring communities, The Grapevine, is published by the local church, and contains news from village organisations and feature articles.
Recreational areas within or around Dunnington are Hagg Wood, Hassacarr Nature Reserve, and a park. Hassacarr Nature Reserve has attracted some 5,000 visitors over the past 20 years, and has recently been awarded Local Nature Reserve status.
Dunnington has two public houses the Cross Keys and The Windmill, though Dunnington Sports Club is also open as a bar, a library, a doctors' surgery, and a reading room at the Village Hall. The village school is Dunnington C of E Primary School.
Churches include those for Methodists, Protestants and Anglicans. The Grade: II* listed Church of England parish church is dedicated to St Nicholas, and dates in part from the late 11th century with later additions and alterations to the 19th, when it was rebuilt by C. Hodgson Fowler.
Village sport facilities include those for bowls, cricket, football, tennis, squash, and ladies hockey. There is also a gymnasium.

SCARBOROUGH WALK | Morning walk round Scarborough ????
SCARBOROUGH WALK | An early Morning walk round Scarborough ????
This morning walk around Scarborough starts on Sandside outside the Luna Park and Scarborough Harbour.
Scarborough is the original seaside resort; stunning scenery, glorious beaches, loads to see and do – is it any wonder that people have been flocking to Scarborough for nearly 400 years now?
You can still immerse yourself in Scarborough's history with Scarborough Castle and the Rotunda Museum of geology.
You could venture down to the seafront to enjoy the traditional amusement arcades, ice cream parlours, shellfish stalls and beach huts.
Outdoor adventures can be found in numbers: try boating in Peasholm Park; take a ride on the miniature railway; be daring on the Sky Trail Adventure bridge and beam course; splash about at the world class Alpamare Waterpark and make friends with the penguins at Scarborough Sea Life Sanctuary.
But despite its rich history, Scarborough doesn’t live in the past. The town is constantly innovating to keep its place as one of the most popular holiday destinations in the UK.

It would mean a lot and motivate me to keep on creating!
We head off on this morning walk Northwards along the North Bay towards the Grand Hotel
Along the way we pass the harbourside gift shop where you can pick up all kinds of quaint and unique gifts and holiday souvenirs, as well as Mutiny Bar which is a lovely Scarborough pub (where had a fantastic breakfast before filming this Scarborough walk!)
Also on our route is The Anchor fish and chips restaurant which has a real life huge anchor outside on the pavement (a great photo opportunity if you're visiting Scarborough)
A little further down the North Bay we see the King Richard III pub and restaurant where it's believed the King stayed in 1484 whilst on naval duty
As we cross East Sandgate there's the quaintly named Newcastle Packet pub opposite the Princess Cafe where I like to go for a fish and chips lunch where you can enjoy a great view of Scarborough lighthouse and harbour.
Our walk continues past the Lord Nelson pub, the RNLI lifeboat house, Scarborough beach and the Scarborough Terror Tower where you can visit the film sets from the biggest horror movies ever made! (we've always been too scared to go in!)
We pass the former site of the famous Futurist Theatre (the theatre has been knocked down and lost now) and then come onto Scarborough tram and the Grand Hotel where we end our walk
Don't forget to press like on the video, leave a comment and most importantly of all please subscribe to our channel for more great video walks!

WOODBRIDGE TOWN 3 SWAFFHAM TOWN 1 (HT 2-0)
Woodbridge Town are sixth in the league table after a deserved win, Nathan Read, Carlos Edwards and Tom Haste on target with his first senior goal for the Woodpeckers against a very hard working young away side.
George Bowman's free kick after 4 minutes was met by Aaron Churchyard but his effort went over the bar. Ryan Keeble's cross after 10 minutes found Edwards but his shot missed the target. Read opened the scoring after 12 minutes with a superb goal, after beating 3 defenders his shot from an acute angle beat away keeper Captain Tommy Rix and it was 1-0. Keeble's shot went wide of the post after 19 minutes and Emre Vaston and Ryan Pearson efforts after 24 and 31 minutes tested home keeper Alfie Stronge and Tommy Hunt's header was ruled out for offside a minute later for the visitors. The home side doubled their lead after 37 minutes when from Keeble's accurate pass, Haste's excellent curling shot beat Rix but 2-0 at the break.
Vaston's curling free kick was well held by Stronge after 59 minutes and Ellis Murrell's curling shot went wide of the post after 65 minutes. The away side pulled a goal back after what appeared to be a harsh penalty decision on the edge of the area, Pearson stepped up to send Stronge the wrong way with the spot kick to make it 2-1 after 67 minutes. Pearson's shot was blocked for a corner after 79 minutes and from Jake Rudge's pass, Edwards' lob went wide of the post but in the last minute loan signing Harvey Sayer's accurate pass was met by Edwards and he made it 3-1 to leave Rix with no chance as the ball nestled in the bottom corner of the net.
