Mine Diving. Pushing deeper and further into an abandoned Cornish flooded tin mine.
Mine dive through trip, Novemeber 2019.
This mine is situated in mid Cornwall and is almost totally flooded.
It has been abandoned since the early 1900s when the mine shut and once pumping of the ground water stopped it soon filled with water and has been flooded ever since.
We are the first people to see into this mine in over 100 years.
If you like mine exploring and diving, check out my other videos...
A few people concerned about our well being. Dont panic. We are both commercial divers with thousands of dives between us, we have been going into overhead flooded enviroments for years.
Im sure to the untrained or the inexperienced this may look dangerous but we actually use all the correct procedures and equipment to make sure we get back out alive every time.
Dont try this yourselves though, you will probably die.
And no im not going to tell you where this is.
If you enjoyed this maybe watch some of my others . This was the blue waterfall ...
And here was the really deep one :

Falmouth, South Cornwall, a video guide
A short video guide to Falmouth, Cornwall.
Located at the entrance to the third largest harbour in the world, Falmouth's strategic location led to the town being established as one of the most important packet ship ports in the UK from 1689 up until the mid-1800s.
Today, the town retains its maritime importance offering sheltered waters for sailing and diving and regularly hosts sailing events such as the Henri Lloyd Falmouth Week and the Pendennis Cup.

Probable Second World War sea mine off Falmouth, Cornwall (UK), November 2017: the detonation
This video shows the detonation of a charge laid by Royal Navy ordnance clearance divers on an object identified as a Second World War German 'GC' mine, discovered by diver Mark Milburn near Falmouth, Cornwall, in November 2017. The mine itself did not explode, because its contents proved to be different than expected. Go to our Cornwall Maritime Archaeology page on Facebook for the latest updates.

Diving Cornwall in England
In Cornwall every summer the population is doubled. The subtropical climate and the wide sandy beaches attract thousands of English tourists. This summer, you can add two more diving Dutchies to them. Attracted by the an underwater world that is unknown to me, England has been on my list for many years. Every time Dennis and I found an excuse not to go, but this year we finally managed to go and after a drive of approximately nine hours, we arrive in the most South-western part of the country, in Cornwall. A beautiful peninsula with green sloping hills and a capricious coastline.

Freediving with a blue shark in Cornwall, UK
Blue sharks are listed as 'near threatened' on the IUCN Red List. This is mostly due to them being bycatch in the fishing industry. The species actually poses no threat to humans, and it is very rare that bites occur.
As such, they are generally safe to swim with, and to show the world their beauty and their plight for survival, the people of organise trips to dive with this beautiful creature.
More information on shark conservation can be found here:

The Manacles rocks, Cornwall. Above and Below.
The Manacles, an area of reef approximately one square mile, lying to the southern approach to Falmouth, has been responsible for over 100 shipwrecks with over 1000 lives lost.
There is no comparable reef on the entire south coast of Britain that has caused such a loss of shipping.
Even larger ships which should have been many miles offshore seem to have become entangled with this quite lethal mass of rock, and the whole reef is still littered in ships remains of all ages.
The area is now marked by a bell bouy marking the outer most safe passage.
Shot during summer 2018, in this video we go down on some of the rarest, calmest days of the summer to dive around the rocks and then to view them from the air.
