MUST SEE: CORON ISLAND HOPPING 2019 | Super Ultimate & Island Escapade Tour | Philippines Vlog Ep04
Hey, I'm Michael!
Coron, Palawan, is a dream. There's nothing else I can say. Simply watch my moods & impressions I shot while participating in these tours:
CORON ISLAND ULTIMATE TOUR:
1. Twin Lagoon
2. Smith Coral Garden
3. Atwayan Beach
4. Luluyan Lake / Barracuda Lake
5. Kayangan Lake
6. Siete Pecados
ISLAND ESCAPADE TOUR:
1. Bulog Dos
2. Banana Island
3. Malcapuya Tour
I highly recommend these tours.
Well, it took a while to finish this vlog. It's not only my longest video so far. I'm also proud that the video editing & color grading was done entirely on my iPhone Xs Max with the LumaFusion app.
It's amazing that I used 10bit Lumix GH5 footage, partly 4K, without any lagging or choppy playback while editing.
I wish Premiere Pro could be as intuitive as Lumafusion.
Enjoy watching!

CORON ISLAND HOPPING: HOW TO DITCH THE CROWDS!
How to go island hopping in Coron without the crowds!
Coron has blown up in popularity over the last few years, so going on a group island hopping tour means sharing the space with many other tourists. I wanted an island hopping excursion without the crowds, so a private island hopping tour it is!
I took it very slow and split things up over 2 days:
Day 1:
1. The Twin Lagoon: One of the most popular stops in Coron. We were able to get the lagoon pretty much to ourselves for a good few minutes, as we arrived before 8am. The Twin Lagoon was absolutely beautiful and very fun to fly a drone over, but just watch out for this ONE THING (watch the vlog to find out!).
2. Keyangan Lake: This brackish lake is magical in the morning hours, but by 10am it’s packed with people. If you want to skip the crowds, your only choice is to get there before 7:30am, which can be arranged if you are on a private tour.
Day 2:
1. Barracuda Lake: My absolute favorite out of all stops! I had it to myself for a while by going in the afternoon after the tour boats had mostly moved on. It’s less popular, so to me it was more beautiful and pretty darn similar.
2. Banul Beach: I headed to Banul Beach In the afternoon, after the tours that stop there for lunch had already left. It’s a small cove with white sand beaches and though grassy and not perfect for snorkeling, it is absolutely perfect for chilling.
And there you have it, an awesome Coron island hopping tour! For more information on the fees and other cool stops around the island, check out this blog post:

5 MOST ICONIC Spots You MUST SEE in Coron, Philippines
Coron, Philippines is right up there with El Nido as the most popular destination in Palawan - The absolute paradise of a province on the western side of the Philippines.
After a 5-day Trip with Tao, I only had 48 hours to explore the area, and I took up half of that time yesterday diving the Japanese war ships of wwii.
So, today, I set out to experience some of the most iconic attractions just off shore.
As far as boat tours go in Coron, there’s a ton of different operators and you can negotiate price right here at the market where the captain’s start each morning.
You can jump on a group tour starting at about $20 bucks; which usually includes food and snorkel gear - but I decided to rent a private boat to take my time and go where I wanted.
For this option, I negotiated a price of about $50 US dollars.
Our first goal for the day is to visit what’s said to be the cleanest and clearest lake in all of Asia - Kayangan Lake.
The next stop on our voyage is to another famous spot called the Twin Lagoons - Two absolutely breathtaking shallow saltwater lagoons that are connected by an underwater channel and narrow rock pathway.
One of the best aspects choosing the private tour is that when you get hungry, you can stop whenever and wherever you want.
Barracuda Lake, I’m told, is normally the least crowded of the three stops. Most groups skip this spot because to experience it’s true uniqueness, you really need to scuba dive.
It’s actually a brackish lake which means it’s a mix of salt and fresh water.
I’m told that until you reach about 14 meters down it’s a cool, clear freshwater and then after that it turns into a warm salt water.
Unfortunately, I was pressed for time, so I just explored the incredible underwater rock formations and met the little creatures who live here.
and despite the name, I didn’t spot any barracudas.
Back on dry land I rush up the 700 plus steps to Mt. Tapyas for sunset, and to get a nice view of town from above.
Maquinit Hot Springs is one of the very few saltwater hot springs in the world. it’s a 30-minute tricycle ride from the town proper of Coron along a rough, curvy road.
It’s said that the water gets heated by a volcano and springs up into the two-tiered pool all surrounded by a cool wooded area, dotted with picnic tables and some relaxing mood lighting.
The water’s pretty hot, so coming at night, when it’s a little cooler outside was a good choice.
I’m glad I’m able to sneak in last minute, and it was a great spot to finish a perfect day here in Coron, Philippines.

TRAVEL DEEPER.
Coron Island Hopping // Our last day in The Philippines
We had the best day today doing the Coron Island Hopping boat tour! It’s our last day in The Philippines so we chose an amazing, relaxing day on the water to soak up as much Philippines beauty as we possible could. We waited for so long in the heat on our boat before finally leaving two ours late. It actually worked out well in the end as all the other boats left a long time before us and we ended up having most stops on the island hopping tour just to ourselves. It was such a beautiful day of snorkelling and swimming with fish!
We visited Twin Lagoon, snorkelled around Skeleton Wreck and had lunch in a little shack on the beach there. We swam around CYC Beach and explored on shore before visit Kayangan Lake and lastly the Siete Pecados Coral Garden.
Coron was our last stop in The Philippines and today was our last day here so we are sad to see our journey here come to an end but have really enjoyed exploring the beautiful sites for our last few days in this spectacular country.

The last location was called Skeleton Wreck which is a 25m long Japanese supply ship that was hit by an airstrike during WWII by US airforce. The ship now rests at a depth of 5m ranging to 22m at the deepest. It is an awesome spot for snorkeling.
It was a great spot to finish a perfect day here in the Coron Islands Philippines.

Best tropical Island hopping in Coron Philippines (Tour A)
Marikrisenco visit Coron in Palawan for island hopping, swimming and snorkelling. We flew from Cebu to Coron with Cebu Pacific and arrived at Busuanga Airport which is approx. 25min drive from Coron Town.
On this trip we stayed in Coron Town at the Princess of Coron Austrian Lodge which was well located, friendly and cost effective.
There is many boat tours to do in Coron. The tours depart from Coron Port area and venture out to the surrounding islands, reefs and beaches. Most tours last all day so we did 2 tours on separate days. Our boat tour included lunch which was great.
The islands around Coron Palawan are absolutely amazing and a must do for all who love swimming, diving or snorkelling. Coron town is a small but very bustling town with many restaurants, cafes and styles of accommodation to choose from.
For those who love Elnido in Palawan you will differently like the Islands surrounding Coron.
