Coronation Park in Thimphu
The Coronation Park is located on the banks of the river Wang chu in Thiphu city. This is the biggest park in the city spread over 6 acres of land. There is no ticket or entry fee to visit this park. There is a big statue of Sakyamuni Buddha in the park. This is a pleasant and relaxing environment and you can get good views of the city as well as of the Himalayan mountains. The views of river wang chu is enjoyable which flows by the side of coronation park.

Situated in the heart of the Thimphu City and beside the river Thimphu Chu. While your kids are playing, you can relax or can have a nice walk by the river. This is a nice park with a statue of Walking Buddha.

Vehicle traffic, unheard of a handful of years ago, now crawls through the center of town during an equally new phenomenon – rush hour. However, the juxtapositions of old and new remain part of Thimpu's charm. Crimson-robed monks, government ministers clad in traditional dress and camera-wielding tourists all share pavements lined with shops selling SIM cards and Buddhist accessories.
There are lots of places you can visit in Thimphu, I prefer Clock tower, Changlimithang Stadium, centenary and coronation park, Thimphu handicraft market, Tashichho Dzong, Thimphu viewpoint, Buddha Dordenma, and Motithang Takin Preserve. There are also many Dzong, market, and river you can visit in Thimpu city tour in Bhutan trip.
