Staying close to the coast of Brazil, this town in the north, in the state of Bahia, is one of the best places to travel in Brazil. A perfect mix of chill beach, good waves to surf, a relaxed town, I love Itacare.

My first place in Bahia was this little town of Trancoso. Similar to Itacare, it is very small, very chill, and at times can have some good surf, however, every day, rain or shine, the beach is terrific.

On the Bahia Coast to Praia do Forte, we spent a lot of time. The fine sandy beach, the sea air, the vastness and the many coconut palms invited to take long walks. At low tide, snorkeling in the warm natural pool was a real fun factor. 12 kilometers gorgeous beach in the turtle sanctuary is a beautiful piece of nature for a very relaxing and gentle holiday!

Na costa do Atlântico para a Praia do Forte, passamos muito tempo. A praia de areia fina, o ar do mar, a imensidão e os muitos coqueiros convidado a fazer longas caminhadas. Na maré baixa, mergulho na piscina natural quente foi um fator de verdadeira diversão. 12 km linda praia, no santuário de tartarugas é um belo pedaço da natureza para um feriado muito relaxante e suave!

An der Atlantikküste um Praia do Forte verbrachten wir viel Zeit. Der feine Sandstrand, die Meerluft, die endlose Weite und die vielen Kokospalmen hat zu langen Spaziergängen eingeladen. Bei Ebbe war das Schnorcheln in den warmen Naturpools ein echter Spassfaktor. Etwa 12 Kilometer traumhafter Strand im Schutzgebiet für Schildkröten sind ein schönes Stück Natur für einen sehr erholsamen und sanften Urlaub !

Over the course of three weeks in May 2019, I was part of a group of fifteen students from the University of Ottawa participating in field research in Brazil. Our course centered on the subject of activism and social change, and as such we met a number of diverse groups from varying areas of expertise. This video is only a fraction of the unforgettable experiences our group shared throughout those three weeks.

Itacaré is a town at the mouth of the Rio de Contas on Brazil’s eastern Cocoa Coast. It is a popular destination for surfers, hikers and ecotourists.

The town has a series of beautiful small cove-type beaches and other picturesque beaches further along the coast. Itacaré is on the edge of a national park, one of the last large expanses of Atlantic rain forest left in Brazil. Itacaré has definitley made the Runway Boyz I Only Need A Weekend list.

If you have spare time while visiting Salvador, Bahia, I would definitely suggest adding it to your bucket list.
