Liberia is a city in the Northern part of Costa Rica, 215 km Northwest of San Jose.
Liberia is the Capital and largest city of Guanacaste Province with a population of approx 57,000.
Guanacaste is home to some fantastic National Parks and Beaches that are easy to get to by bus.
There are 2 main bus stations in Liberia as well as an international airport.
Hostel Dodero was located very close to Bus Stations, Food, Groceries and parks, This is a very safe, clean and well maintained Hostel with a pretty dining and Garden area.
The Staff are amazing!

I'm reporting from the luxury, boutique hotel--Villa Buena Onda, here in Guanacaste, Costa Rica's most northern region and the theme for this video.

at some of the highlights.
Guanacaste is the most popular destination in Costa Rica for visitors. Mainly due to its beautiful, sun drenched beaches that stretch along the north-west coastline.
The close proximity of the provincial capital: Liberia - along with its International Airport - means most of the hotels and resorts are less than 1 hour away.
It is the most sparsely populated area of Costa Rica, and so offers many, amazing natural vistas across the mountainous countryside - down to the golden coastline.
The Guanacasteco culture is unique in Costa Rica, and is historically set apart from the rest of the country, with its laid back, relaxed lifestyle much of which is focused around the cultivation of the land and the local 'Sabaneros'.
The area receives little rainfall and has consistent, excellent weather from November to April, resulting in striking tropical dry-forest surroundings and rich wildlife.

After living in Costa Rica from the age of 10 until 17. I now try to go back to see good friends and to get to know places of this awesome country that I haven't visited yet. This is a video I made from pictures and videos we took during our 2 weeks trip to Costa Rica in December . We were traveling with Costa Rican friends of mine that were kind enough to take us to wonderful places. From the South East coast to the North West coast here it is.
