Stroud - the best Farmer's Market in England !
The bustling Cotswold town of Stroud is home to a Farmer's Market reputed to be the best in the Country with artisan bread, country cheeses, vegetables and greens like you haven't seen since you were a kid all held in a traditional marketplace and spilling over into the surrounding streets, every Saturday morning.
Stroud itself may be described as a bohemian town populated by interesting people. It is rather like Totnes in Devon and has attracted its fair share of old hippies (hope this is not going to offend anyone?).
The valleys surrounding Stroud can be staggeringly beautiful on a sunny spring day and morbidly miserable in the rain and wind! Interesting street names like Old Neighbourhood, Little Switzerland and Minchinhampton !
Totnes Good Food Sunday, 2013
The first event for 2013. Totnes Good Food Sunday has become the premier foodies market in the West Country, and perhaps even the UK. Over 50 stall holders provide a spectacular display of the best food and produce made in South Devon and the West Country. Totnes has strong allegiance as a town to support its local producers. This market is a celebration to the many micro-businesses that contribute to the true taste of South Devon produce.
If you are here on holiday in South Devon? Then this is not to be missed. If you are anywhere near South Devon? Then this is not to be missed. If you are on the other side of the galaxy? Then this is not to be missed. Do you get my message?
Held on the 3rd Sunday of every month, starting today on the 20th January. The temperature was not conducive, but everyone enjoyed it. In summer it is like a carnival atmosphere, added to by the eclectic vibe of Totnes, once declared in a British Airways Magazine, as one of the top 10 Funky Places To Live.
Follow good food and follow Totnes Good Food Sunday.

Omsi 2 tour (559) UK NXWM 904 Birmingham - Sutton Coldfield @ Stagecoach Mercedes Benz 709D
The Mercedes-Benz T2 was a transporter manufactured by Daimler-Benz. The T2 is also known as the Düsseldorf transporter, since it was built until 1996 in Düsseldorf. The third series, built from 1996 at Ludwigsfelde, was branded the Vario. Some T2s were assembled by Mercedes-Benz España in their Alcobendas assembly plant.
For Argentina, the first T2 product are the L 608 D in 1969 until 1990. In 1989, the new products are the L 710, L 914 and 814 with the LO variant (chassis bus). The production ceased in 1966. The Venezuelan version of the T2 was manufactured in Barcelona by the Grupo Consorcio 1390 S.A. (currently MMC Automoritz S.A.) as the Mercedes-Benz Class L3. The L3 was built from 1969 up to 1978, when the company was bought by the Ford Motor Company.

In 1967, the T2 was introduced as a successor to the L 319 / L 406 series. The vehicle filled the gap between Bremen Transporters and the heavier trucks, manufactured in Wörth
The T2 was available as a box van, a flat-bed light truck (with single or double cab), or a minibus. From 1977 the chassis was offered, for the mounting of larger box van and bus bodies, in two different widths. In 1981 the T2 received a facelift, the most visible differences were the new radiator grille, which now was a moulding of black plastic. The various T2 versions were popular for a wide range of applications: they were used as delivery vans, light builders' vans or trucks, fire-brigade and rescue support vehicles, post office parcel delivery vans (featuring sliding doors) and for very many other uses. In the early 1970s, T2 was also offered branded as a Hanomag-Henschel. In Brazil and some other South American countries was build with a turbo system.
Production of flat-bed trucks of the first generation ended after 19 year construction period, after approximately 450,000 vehicles had been produced, in 1986.
Second generation (1986–1996)[edit]
The second generation of the T2 was introduced in 1986, and was manufactured until 1996.[1] It was significantly upgraded, the bonnet having become longer and the design altogether more sharp-edged. The chassis sold in large numbers in the United Kingdom and Ireland during the minibus revolution. Variations included the 609D, 614D, 709D, 711D, 811D, 814D and 510 (petrol).[2]
The LO812 was sold in Australia from the early 1990s, Westbus purchasing 26 in 1992[3] and National Bus Company purchased 45 in 1994/95.[4] Various other operators would purchase smaller fleets.
The T2 is still manufactured in Argentina as the L 710[5] and the LO 915[6] chassis for minibus applications.

Magnificent 46233 Duchess of Sutherland Overpowers the Devon Elements
The Great Britain, 27th & 28th April 2019.
The twelfth edition of The Railway Touring Company’s epic railtour around the U.K. headed from Paddington to Plymouth on Day 1, straight into the teeth of Storm Hannah as it reached Devon. Seen attacking Rattery Bank, the Duchess makes a fine sight as the sun breaks through. The main camera perched high near Barleycombe Solar & Wind Farm is taking the full force of 50+mph winds in the back as 64233 takes it on the nose as she climbs to the foothills of Dartmoor with blowing safety valves adding to the chaotic soundtrack. Having sampled the big pacific’s climbing abilities, Day 2 was all about recording her at high speed and the very best place to do this is at Exminster. Although the worst of Hannah has passed the weather has turned dull, damp and gusty, (with the roar of an airliner overhead climbing from Exeter airport not exactly helping!) but witnessing a big maroon pacific with matching coaching stock steam past at 75mph (+?) certainly helps lift the spirits! and notice the waggle at the rear of the tender as she comes under the bridge!!! Leaving Exeter St Davids after a water stop, the Duchess gets into her stride up the Exe valley, passing Woodrow Barton, taking “The Great Britain” onwards out of Devon on its way to a further 7 days of touring. Thank you to the organisers, support staff and of course, the fare paying passengers who keep this annual “steam spectacular” on the rails, long may it continue.

SUMMARY
=======
Individual and political action on climate change can take many forms. Many actions aim to build social and political support to limit, and subsequently reduce, the concentration of greenhouse gases (GHGs) in the atmosphere, with the goal of mitigating climate change. Other actions seek to address the ethical and moral aspects of climate justice, especially with regard to the anticipated unequal impacts of climate change adaptation.
The effects of climate over the course of the past century have made worldwide negative impacts on the globe. The individual actions of countries and cities within these countries have been making significant efforts to offset the amount of carbon emitted into the atmosphere by promoting renewable energy and cleaner overall practices. As countries develop more strategies to promote clean and renewable energy and ways of living, places within the United States such as California are making reforms. In 2016, the state of California passed Senate Bill 32, which strengthens the need to withhold the state from emitting excess carbon. Although Donald Trump has tried remove the United States from the Paris Agreement, other states such as New York have been creating greener spaces by installing more solar panels and creating 'green building' which mitigate pollution in an effort to make New York city 'cleaner'. Countries are making large efforts to fight and reduce the effects of climate change; however, in order to see improvements, more countries with large CO2 emissions such as China and India will need to reform and cut emissions by large percentages.
