NEBRASKA SINGLETRACK: Calvin Crest Mountain Bike Ride
Awesome mountain bike trail in Freemont, NE just north of Lincoln. Lots of rolling features, great short but steep climbs, burms, little bridges and fast singletrack. Trail is maintained by a local trail club THOR and is top notch! The full loop is about 6miles. If you are in the midwest looking for some good trails I HIGHLY recommend Calvin Crest!

bicycling across America, Nebraska part 3
I ride my bicycle on HWY 20 from Valentine to Chadron. I met 12 other bicycle tourers on the way and got to camp with 2 of them in the Cody NE city park. The temperatures are soaring past the 100 mark for over 8 straight days (that's a cumulative 800 degrees!!!) and has slowed me down.

The Nebraska National Forest is a United States National Forest located within the U.S. state of Nebraska. The total area of the national forest is 141,864 acres, or 222 sq miles (574 km2). The forest is managed by the U.S. Forest Service's Nebraska Forests and Grasslands Supervisor's Office in Chadron, Nebraska. The national forest includes two ranger districts, the Bessey Ranger District and the Pine Ridge Ranger District. In descending order of land, the forest lies in parts of Thomas, Dawes, Blaine, and Sioux counties.

Located in Nebraska near the town of Valentine. We saw 5 waterfalls on our short trip but there are more than 200 dropping water into the river.

Pine Ridge National Rec. Area - A Great Day! (Vlog)
Pine Ridge National Recreation Area. My daughter and I enjoyed some Mountain Biking and Hiking at this beautiful location located in Western Nebraska. Much of our time was technically in Chadron State Park which is located in the Pine Ridge Area. Really remote, few crowds and great times! Check it out!
