Horseback Riding in Wickenburg Arizona 11/30/2013
Short clip approx. 5 mins, from Cowboy Way Adventures ride in Wickenburg Arizona on 11/30/2013. Down a narrow trail and into a wash while passing a couple old abandoned gold mines. The temperature that day was 71 degrees, beautiful weather for the end of November in Arizona. My horse was Dixi about 10 years old.

The Vulture Mine is danger of being lost forever.
The Vulture Mine Preservation & Restoration Association (VMPRA) is dedicated to preserving, interpreting and sharing the Vulture gold mine's legacy and its importance to the development of Arizona and the Western United States.
This video gives a brief history of the Vulture mine near Wickenburg Arizona. It makes the case for the value of the Vulture Mine site and need to save the buildings from deteriorating to a point where they are lost forever.
VMPRA's plans to save this important site for future generations have been suspended because the new owners have restarted mining operations.

#vanlife Is new to this generation; a counter-culture whose mission is based around the idea of living more outdoors, being eco-friendly, and often times affortable. There are different off shots of this culture that are known as Escapees, Escapers, RubberTrampers, Digital Nomads, Snow birds, Rainbow kids, dirt bags, etc. People live in anything that moves, SUVs, cars, trucks, campers, trailers, bikes, tents, Class A's, school buses, step vans, Subaru's, and more. Some of us ask if others are full-timers or part timers This just means if you have a sticks and bricks(house) home base or if you have sold everything and are always on the road. I have been full time in my van for 2 1/2 years camping, boondocking, stealth camping, driveway surfing, parking lot hopping along the way. Every place is new and different and I have friends in many states now. The day to day life is interesting and filled with unknowns. I do get frustrated at it sometimes but I find that even after a few months of staying still I need to pick up and keep going. Seasonal and temporary jobs keep me going but also your support of my channel. I don't know if I would be still on the road in this capacity if it wasn't for your support and encouragement. I feel honored to have so many people rooting for me to keep at it! Through trials and tribulations, sunrises and sunsets this lifestyle change has been a growing experience.
Stay Curious!

Cowboy Country USA
Ride out in Monument Valley with a bunch of friends and find the trails of the early pioneers in search of a new life in the West. add to that the spice of unexpected real life sheriff turning up to join the posse and you have arrived in cowboy country. Spectacular scenery, light and colors add to the feeling of real life adventure as the early settlers must have experienced some two hundred years ago in this part of Utah . Rough , tough and exciting to experience a ride out in cowboy country

Vulture Peak, Wickenburg, AZ hike
Climbing Vulture Peak, south of Wickenburg, AZ. At 3,600 ft. (1100 m.), Vulture Peak is the highest point in the Vulture Mountains of northwest Maricopa County. The final 250 ft. are a steep scramble up a narrow chute. Basically, Vulture Peak is Camelback with more scramble, no safety cable, and *MANY* fewer people. Vulture Peak has 360° views of Phoenix, the Bradshaw Mountains, Yarnell Hill, Wickenburg, the Harcuvar Mountains, Harquahala Mountain, the Vulture Mine, the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station and the White Tank Mountains.

Walking tour of US Cavalry outpost ofFt. Lowell,Tuscon
An old fort that protected travellers and helped win the west for European style settlements. All kinds of Americans served here from black Buffalo Soldiers to red Apache Scouts. You name the state or country and probably there was someone(and his wife), from there that served in one of the numerous US Cavalry regiments here at Ft. Lowell and surrounding outposts. Could we ever be fully aware of the sacrifices that were made by these brave settlers and pioneers of the old west. It's astounding!!!

Summit hike to Vulture Peak - Wickenburg Arizona
Vulture Peak Trail, seven miles south of Wickenburg, Arizona, is a short but steep trail that takes hikers from the base of Vulture Peak to a saddle just below the summit in only two miles. From this point, experienced hikers can scramble up an extremely steep and narrow chute to the summit of Vulture Peak itself (3,660 feet). The final ascent is not maintained and should be attempted only by experienced and well-conditioned hikers.
Vulture Peak Trail meanders through classic Sonoran Desert landscapes, including dense stands of saguaro, ocotillo, cholla, and other cactus varieties; crosses wide desert washes; and offers dramatic scenic vistas of rugged desert mountain ranges and valleys in all directions.
